CONCEPTO
Paciente que presenta lesiones de dos o más sistemas o segmentos orgánicos, que pueden llegar a comprometer su supervivencia.
Fracturas múltiples graves sin afectación de sistemas internos, que pueden comprometer la supervivencia del paciente.

-La enfermedad traumática es la 4ª causa de muerte.

1ª fase: Mortalidad Inmediata
-Graves lesiones cerebrales, del tronco cerebral o de la médula espinal.
-Graves lesiones cardiacas y de los grandes vasos.
-Lesiones múltiples exsanguinantes torácicas y abdominales.
2ª fase: Mortalidad Temprana
-Hematoma subdural / epidural.
-Hemoneumotórax.
-Rotura esplenica / Laceración hepática.
-Fractura pelvis.
-Lesiones múltiples exsanguinates.
