CIGARRO DOMINICANO, la primera y única revista internacional de Cigarro del Caribe, que se lee en los Cinco Continentes, fue la única prensa internacional invitada a par-ticipar en “The Third China Cigar Festival 2014”, celebrado este año en la moderní-sima ciudad asiática de Shanghai, y que tuvo como anfitrión oficial a Cigar Ambas-sador Group, representado por Lily Wang y Edward Jin.Esta semana les traemos un Resumen Previo a la Edición Especial Impresa y Online de esta Experiencia Única e Inolvi-dable al Otro Lado del Mundo que en breve llegará a todos ustedes con el nombre de “Bitácora de un Viaje a Shanghai by Cigarro Dominicano”, de este importante evento internacional de tabaco y cigarros que realiza la poderosa nación china en su primera ciudad financiera y comercial, Shanghai, y en cuya edición podrán disfru-tar de un amplísimo reportaje, no solo del evento, sino también de la exótica ciudad de Shanghai y de este recorrido por tres continentes (América, Europa y Asia) que nos llevó a participar, de manera exclusiva, en este Festival de Cigarro.El China Cigar Festival 2014 aperturó con un cálido e impactante cóctel de bienvenida en la terraza del Renaissan-ce Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, situada en el piso 25 con espectaculares e impresio-nantes vistas del Bund, de la zona antigua y del centro financiero Lujiazui.Al día siguiente, dio inicio la actividad formal en el Grand Kempinsky Hotel Shanghai, cuyos cómodos salones para congresos y convenciones acogieron la agenda de trabajo del Festival, inician-do con el Foro “China Cigar Market & Smokers” y el Seminario “Cigar Industry: Cigar From Factory to Market”, durante los cuales tuvimos el honor de dictar una extensa conferencia acerca de nuestra novedosa revista online CIGARRO DOMINI-CANO, del fuerte posicionamiento mundial del cigarro dominicano y de lo que es Procigar. Igualmente, participamos acti-vamente como panelistas en los debates posteriores como especialistas del cigarro dominicano, ya que además de que hay un gran interés por nuestro producto, durante

“ The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Exhibition and Auction” se exhibieron dife-rentes marcas y cigarros producidos en la República Dominicana. Durante la segunda noche del festival, la fábrica de cigarros Hubei Tobacco ofreció una cena de gala en el espléndido Roose-velt House, emblemático edificio situado en el centro del célebre The Bund, donde degustamos sus cigarros.Al día siguiente, la continuación de la agenda de trabajo de este China Cigar Festival 2014 se completó con diversas actividades, entre las que citamos: un Workshop Cigar Rolling, un Management Cigar Shop and Lounge Seminary y un ex-celente almuerzo, que otra de las fábricas patrocinadoras del evento, la Shandong Tobacco, ofreció en el restaurant Latino, donde disfrutamos de la exquisita comida y música brasileña, en medio del corazón de la cultura china de Shanghai. Al día siguiente volvimos a participar acti-vamente como panelistas e introductores de nuestros cigarros en el novedoso “La-dies Cigar Salon”, una exclusiva actividad para Damas amantes del buen fumar y que incluyó catas a ciegas de cigarros de cuatro naciones productoras de tabaco y cigarros, incluida China.Durante los días en que fue celebrado el China Cigar Festival hubo diversas acti-vidades colaterales que incluyeron entre otras Catas y Maridajes de Cigarros con Rones y Whiskies, Como juzgar un Buen Cigarro, y muchas más…. Una de las muchas e interesantes activi-dades que se desarrollaron durante este fastuoso evento fue la apertura de los “The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Exhibition and Auction” y “The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Exhibition Lecture”, que incluyeron delicadas y espectaculares exposiciones de cajas antiguas de cigarros chinos, muebles de épocas de dominación por las potencias europeas y objetos de antiguas dinastías de emperadores chinos, así como subastas silentes de muchos de estos objetos, de cigarros y humidores de diferentes marcas, manufacturados en varios países productores de tabaco y cigarros.

Como Broche de Oro de Cierre de este espectacular China Cigar Festival 2014 se realizó el “China Big Smoke” a bordo de un Crucero Privado, que mientras recorría el río Huangpu, mostrándonos ambas orillas que componen sus centros históricos y financieros, dentro del mismo disfrutába-mos, junto a los anfitriones, patrocinado-res, empresarios tabacaleros – comprado-res y distribuidores de diferentes naciones y cientos de invitados, de las gratas atenciones y actividades que como cierre de este majestuoso evento se celebraron.Para finalizar, les invitamos queridos lectores a que estén pendientes, como ya les hemos comentado al inicio de este resumen previo, del Lanzamiento a Nivel Nacional e Internacional de la Edición Es-pecial Impresa y Online de esta Experiencia Única e Inolvidable al Otro Lado del Mundo que en breve llegará a todos ustedes con el nombre de “Bitácora de un Viaje a Shanghai by Cigarro Dominicano”.

CIGARRO DOMINICANO, the first and unique international cigar magazine from the Caribbean, which is read in five con-tinents, was the only international press invited to participate in “The Third China Cigar Festival 2014” held this year at the ultra-modern Asian city of Shanghai, and that had as a official host to Cigar Ambas-sador Group, represented by Lily Wang and Edward Jin.This week, we bring to you a prior sum-mary before the Printing and Online Special Edition of this unique and unforgettable experience on the other side of the world that will soon come out for all of you with the name “Log of a trip Shanghai by Ciga-rro Dominicano”, and in that edition you’ll enjoy this important international event of snuff and cigar, made by the powerful Chinese nation in its leading financial and commercial city, Shanghai, and you’ll also enjoy a vast story, not only the event but also the exotic Shanghai’s city and this trip across three continents (America, Europe and Asia) that led us to participate exclusi-vely in the Cigar Festival.The China Cigar Festival 2014 opened with a gorgeous welcome party on the terrace of Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, located on the 25th floor with a breathta-king view of the Bund, the old town and the Lujiazui financial center.The second day began with the formal working day in the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai, whose comfortable spaces for congress and conferences was the official place for the festival’s daily agenda, star-ting with the Forum “China Market & Cigar Smokers” and the Seminar “Cigar Indus-try: Cigar from Factory to Market “, during which we had the honor of make an speech about our newfangled online magazine CIGARRO DOMINICANO, the strong global positioning of Dominican cigar and what is Procigar. Also, we actively participated as panelists in the subsequent discussions as Dominican cigar’s specialist, since there is a great interest in our product, like we saw at “The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Exhibition and Auction” where were exhibi-ted different cigars brands, produced at the Dominican Republic.

During the second festival night, the Hubei Tobacco cigar factory held a gala dinner in the splendid Roosevelt House, a land-mark building located in the center of the famous Bund, where the group tasted their cigars.The next day, the China Cigar Festival pro-gram, was completed with various activi-ties, among which we quote: A Workshop Cigar Rolling, A Cigar Shop and Lounge Management Seminary and an excellent lunch that, Shandong Tobacco, another cigar factory and event sponsor, offered at Latino restaurant, whe-re we enjoyed the ex-quisite food and music from Brazil, amidst the heart of Chinese culture in Shanghai.The next day, we returned to actively participate as pa-nelists in the novel “Ladies Cigar Salon”, an activity exclusively for ladies who love a good smoke and that included a cigar blind tasting, with products manufactured in four different nations, including China.During the days when was held the China Cigar Festival there were several side acti-vities including Cigar Tastings and Pairings with rums and whiskies, How to Judge a Good Cigar, among others ....One of the many interesting activities that took place during this lavish event was the opening of “The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Exhibition and Auction” and “The 1st. Cigar Ambassador Collection Ex-hibition Lecture” in which have included an exhibition of Chinese ancient cigar boxes, furniture from the eras of domination by European powers and objects of ancient dynasties of Chinese emperors, and also a silent auction of many of these objects, humidors and different cigars brands, ma-nufactured in several tobacco and cigars producers countries.

Para honrar a los veteranos de los Estados Unidos y recaudar fondos para la Operación: CIGARS FOR WARRIORS, Viva Republica lanzó un cigarro de edición limitada que serán entregados a los minoristas este Día de los Veteranos, lunes, 10 de noviembre del 2014.“Para el Día de los Veteranos este año quería hacer algo por una organización en la que en verdad creo,” dijo Jason Holly, propieta-rio de Viva República, a través de un comunicado de prensa. “Los voluntarios de la Operación: CIGARS FOR WARRIORS trabajan incansa-blemente para conseguir cigarros a los hombres y mujeres que luchan por nuestro país”.El cigarro, conocido como el Viva Republica / C4W V-Day Edición Li-mitada Benéfica de Lanzamiento, se venderá por $6 dólares por unidad, todos los ingresos desde la venta al por mayor del cigarro hasta los minoristas autorizados van direc-tamente a la operación: Cigars for Warriors.Cigars for Warriors es un 501 (c)3 sin fines de lucro dedicado al servicio de los militares de Esta-dos Unidos que sirven en zonas de combate. Storm Boen, presidente de la junta de operación Cigars for Warriors dijo que: “el apoyo de Viva Republica no podía haber llegado en un mejor momento; todos los meses tenemos más solicitudes de las tropas en servicio activo que nuestra organización de volunta-rios pueden llenar, y la donación de la venta de cigarros de Viva se utilizará para sufragar los gastos de envío al enviar cigarros a tropas en el extranjero “.Sólo los 100 paquetes de 20 ci-garros se están produciendo, y de acuerdo con Holly, 96 de ellos han sido vendidos a partir de la mañana del miércoles. To honor the country’s veterans and raise funds for Operation: Ci-gars for Warriors, Viva Republica release a limited edition cigar that will ship to retai-lers this Veterans Day, Monday, Nov-ember the 10.“For Veterans Day this year I wanted to do something for an organization that I truly believe in,” said Jason Holly, owner of Viva Republica, via a press release. “The volunteers of Operation: Cigars for Warriors work tirelessly to get cigars to the men and women fighting for our country.”The cigar, known as the Viva Republica / C4W V-Day Limited Edition Charitable Release, will sell for $6 per stick, with all proceeds from the wholesale of the cigar to authorized retailers going directly to Operation: Cigars

for Warriors.Cigars for Warriors is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedica-ted to serving U.S. military members serving in combat zones. Storm Boen, chairman of the board for Operation: Cigars for Warriors, said that “the support of Viva Repu-blica could not have come at a better time; every month we have more requests from active duty troops than our

all-volunteer or-ganization can fill and the donation from the sale of Viva’s cigars will be used to defray our shipping costs when sending cigars to troops overseas.”Only 100 bundles of 20 cigars are being produced, and according to Holly, 96 of them have been sold as of Wednesday morning. The cigar mea-sure 5 1/8 x 42 and is said to be a medium-plus

smoke designed to be bold and flavorful. “This release features a prototype Nicaraguan wrapper I have been working with,” said Ho-lly. “In terms of the blend, it’s a bit different style than the regular production portfolio.” It is being made at La Aurora Cigars in Licey municipally of Santiago city, Dominican Republic.
