Historically: Four (4) sites have been undermined

45-1-2746 (Artefact Scatter) - Dec 2010

45-1-2763 (Artefact Scatter) – Mar 2011

45-1-2761 (Shelter) – Jul 2011

45-1-2762 (Artefact Scatter) – Sep 2015

Previous 3 Months: No Sites undermined

Upcoming 3 Months: One site (45-1-2748) to be undermined; a pre and post

monitoring inspection will be carried out as per the ACHMP.

Low level subsidence and tilt as a result of

mining, does not pose a risk of harm to these

sites

Fencing activities completed to help mitigate

against potential harm

• Weed spraying program implemented and continuing during

summer 2016-17.

• Surrounding Mine owned land continues to be leased out for

agricultural purposes – cattle grazing systems.

• Riparian restoration of Airly Creek on-going.

• Tree screen maintenance conducted as required.

Airly Mine – Flora, Fauna & Aquatic Ecology Monitoring

26

• Flora and fauna monitoring activities were

conducted by RPS in spring and summer

2016.

• Aquatic ecology monitoring activities were

completed at Airly during November and

December 2016.

• Stygofauna monitoring is scheduled for

February 2017.

Correspondence Regarding Water Flow Gap/ Genowlan

Creek

• Correspondence received from CVA on 23/9/16 stating concerns

over alleged loss of flow in Gap/ Genowlan Creek and requesting

and investigation by Airly.

• GHD conducted a review of Airly operations and measured flows in

Gap Creek

– Mining was being conducted on the west side of Airly Gap at the time

– Water flows continued to be closely aligned with major rainfall events

– Water flow patterns (increase and decrease in flow) have not changed with

mining

• The report concluded there was no evidence of a change in stream

hydrology in Gap/ Genowlan Creek as a result of mining operations
