Scott Rothbort is an instructor in the Department of Finance, who regularly teaches coursesin derivative instruments and securities trading and financial news at Seton Hall University.With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Professor Rothbortfounded LakeView Asset Management, LLC, a registered investment advisor specializing incustomized account management for high net worth individuals. He has worked for MerrillLynch, where he managed global equity swaps and designed investment products for thehedge fund industry. He has also worked for Morgan Stanley's international division. He is aregular contributor to and or guest of Bloomberg (television and radio), CNBC, TheStreet TV,Fox Business News, MarketWatch, Scutify.com and local television.

Tom started his career with IBM in the early 1980s. During this time, he spent time leadingseveral large development projects and a one point found himself working with John Sowaat the Systems Research Institute. Where he aided John with one of his Natural LanguageProcessing books.

The majority of his career was spent as a technology executive with various Wall Streetfirms such as Lehman Brothers (VP Quantitative Analysis), Merrill Lynch (SVP CapitalMarkets Technology), Cantor Fitzgerald (Partner/Special Projects) and Pax Clearing (CIO).After which he and three partners ran a propriety trading company for eleven years utilizinghigh frequency and emotion based strategies to get an edge on stock and option trading.Throughout this time, he was introducing new artificial intelligence (AI) models to aid tradersin decision making and reacting to changing markets.

Looking for a change after many years on Wall Street, Tom returned to his developmentroots and aided Pepsi in the development of the software for their interactive vendingmachine, which is mainly used for large events. From there it was taking on an AI project toprovide small business with AI tools and to assist in the development of a hydroponic parkwith restaurant and bar in Easthampton, MA. Out of this endeavor grew Cognitive Seeds.

An experienced international businesswoman, Catherine lived in Hong Kong for over 10 years,where she launched Equant in North Asia, founded and served as Managing Director of DigitalIsland in the Asia Pacific Australia region, and founded and managed the Search Bank in HongKong and the US. She also helped publish two books that raised funds for a special needs schooland the World Parrot Trust in Asia.

For the past 20 years, she has served her community at both the state and local level. Aftermoving to Menlo Park, Catherine became Vice-President of her Homeowners Association, joinedthe board of the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired and volunteered as an after-school tutor at the Boys and Girls Club. Through her work with the Junior League, Catherinesupported Project Read, Fostering Families and HIP Housing to name a few. Catherine workedsuccessfully with California Assemblywoman Fiona Ma, Assemblyman Sandre Swanson, and StateSenator Joe Simitian to draft legislation that has addressed human trafficking, domestic violence,protected women's health, and made it possible for children to get a head start in education. As amother of two young children, Catherine helps run her daughters Girls Scouts troop, and is avolunteer with the AYSO in Menlo Park.

Catherine attended Tulane University, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Rhetoric andPublic Communications. She then moved to London to complete her MBA at the Cass BusinessSchool, where she was President of her class with the Deans Honors.

Harvard

Dr. Altringer is Founder-Director of the Desirability Lab and faculty at the Paulson School ofEngineering and Applied Sciences and the Graduate School of Design. In 2016, she wasrecognized by The Harvard Crimson as one of the university’s top 15 professors. She helpeddevelop and is on the core faculty of Harvard's new joint engineering MS/MBA degree program thataims to train future technical founders, CEOs, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief DesignOfficers.The Desirability Lab uses design and behavioral science research to help innovators embeddesirable experiences into the products and services they create. In addition to working withcreators, she develops educational content to help consumers identify and resist unwantedpersuasive design. Dr. Altringer also runs a longitudinal research program to improve design andengineering curricula.

During her PhD work at Cambridge University (studying success and failure on IDEO and Fortune100 company innovation projects) and postdoctoral fellowship at MIT, she developed an integratedapproach to teaching creative, technical, interpersonal, and project management decision-makingskills that can reduce the risk of avoidable project failure.Altringer has since created three ongoing SEAS courses: Human Centered Algorithm Design(inspired by her ai-kitchen initiative), Design Survivor: Experiential Lessons in Design forDesirability, and the Innovators' Practice: Finding, Leading and Building Good Ideas With Others.She also designs immersive courses in wearable tech, sustainable design, culturalentrepreneurship, sensory design, and digital nomadism.Altringer was on the founding team and senior leadership of Piaggio Fast Forward through the2017 launch of their Gita and Kilo robots. In 2014, she created the Sensory Composition project,experimenting with flavor storytelling in context. She has since been building the Flavor GenomeProject, working with blind tasting experts, sommeliers, and chefs to create a large database offood and beverage flavors and their attributes as well as experimental software with new ways ofmapping and navigating flavor (like Spotify does for music). Dr. Altringer completed herpostdoctoral fellowship at MIT, PhD in behavioral science and design at University of Cambridge,visiting scholarship in Human-Computer Interaction at Stanford, masters in architecture atUniversity of Cape Town, Fulbright Fellowship at the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura deBarcelona, and graduate degree in Arts Management at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.She has worked with diverse organizations, including Kering, Gucci Group, Puma, Swarovski,SABMiller, Uber, Diageo, IDEO, FIFA, Drone Racing League, OneLeap, Stanford, MIT, and theBerkman Klein Center.

II. 2nd LATAM LP Conference Colombia 2018

1. Antecedentes:

A partir de la experiencia de la primera LATAM LP Conference, realizada porAMEXCAP y ColCapital en Ciudad de México en el 2017, ColCapitalidentificó la oportunidad de replicar en el marco de la reciente creación de laAlianza del Pacífico, un espacio que permita:

i. Fortalecer las conexiones entre los actores de capital privado en laAlianza del Pacífico y en Latinoamérica.

ii. Incentivar la participación de más y nuevos inversionistas en laregión.

iii. Elevar los estándares de gestión de los actores regionales,inspirados en experiencias de mercados más desarrollados.

Definición LATAM LP Conference – Colombia 2018: Es el primer evento de este tipo que serealiza en Colombia, y el segundo realizado en Latinoamérica por las asociaciones de fondos decapital privado de la región, con el fin de incentivar la participación de más y nuevos inversionistasa la industria.

4. Objetivo: Brindar un espacio a actuales y potenciales inversionistas, tanto locales comointernacionales, interesados en la industria de fondos de capital privado e inversiones enLatinoamérica, con el fin de presentar las últimas tendencias en inversiones alternativas, generarespacios académicos para compartir estándares de mejores prácticas y crear espacios derelacionamiento entre actores.

III. Congreso de Capital Privado de la Alianza del Pacífico

Colombia 2018

1. Antecedentes:

La Asamblea General de Miembros se ha convertido en el principalevento de la industria de fondos de capital privado en Colombia,reuniendo en su última ocasión a 410 personas de las firmas miembro deColCapital, inversionistas, gremios, gobierno y actores interesados en laindustria. Basados en esta experiencia, y evidenciando la necesidad deampliar la influencia de este evento en la región, se propone latransformación de la Asamblea General de Miembros en el Congreso deCapital Privado de la Alianza del Pacífico 2018.

2. Objetivos:

i. Fortalecer las conexiones entre los actores de capital privadoen la Alianza del Pacífico y en Latinoamérica.

ii. Promover la integración de los mercados de activosalternativos en la región.

iii. Promocionar las oportunidades de inversión en América Latinaa través de los fondos de capital privado.

iv. Informar sobre las últimas tendencias de la industria enAmérica Latina.

Definición del Congreso de Capital Privado Alianza del Pacifico - Colombia2018: Es un nuevo formato que se espera dar a la Asamblea de ColCapital, que año tras año seha posicionado como el evento más relevante de la industria de fondos de capital privado enColombia. IV. Mujeres en Capital Privado de la Alianza del Pacífico

Colombia 2018

1. Antecedentes:

Siguiendo la tendencia mundial en materia de inclusión yempoderamiento femenino en la industria de fondos de capitalprivado, y continuando la exitosa experiencia de la “Noche demujeres en Capital Privado” realizada en el 2017 en la ciudad deBogotá, ColCapital ha identificado la oportunidad de realizar laprimera conferencia de “Mujeres en Capital Privado de laAlianza del Pacífico”.

2. Objetivos:

i. Fomentar la participación e inclusión de mujeres en laindustria de fondos de capital privado.

ii. Promover la creación de una red de mujeres en laindustria de fondos de capital privado latinoamericanapara la difusión de herramientas útiles para laparticipación e inclusión.

ColCapital durante el 2017 realizóun evento piloto, encaminado acrear una red de mujeres, con el finde fomentar su participación einclusión en la industria. Dada suacogida y aprovechando la visita deponentes internacionales, se esperarealizar un evento liderado pormujeres, con el fin de proveerherramientas útiles para suactividad.
