Budi Utomo

Budi Utomo is a national organization of the most influential movements in Indonesia. This organization was established on May 20, 1908 by students from STOVIA (School Opleiding van Indische Artsen) like Soetomo, Gunawan, Madura, and RT Ario Tirtokusumo.

 

Goals to be achieved from Budi Utomo are:

1.Advancing teaching.2. Promote agriculture, livestock and trade.3. Advancing technology and industry.4. Revive the culture.

University activist in the present is an organization which made to help the college student to improve their skill in academic or non-academic.They also give the contribution to build our nation become better by giving some aspiration to our government.

The difference, university activist in past is struggle to fight colonialism in their nation and for the Independence of their nation.But university in the present is struggle to improve their nation by keeping an eye to government work.
