![Page 52: Nodulos tiroideos](https://reader035.fdocuments.ec/reader035/viewer/2022081506/5571f84e49795991698d215e/html5/thumbnails/52.jpg)
Puede evitar una cirugía innecesariamente extensa en adenomas no diagnosticados por paaf.
Diagnóstico de certeza 90-95%.
ALTA ESPECIFICIDAD. Sensibilidad más baja, (microcanceres) fn
20%. Ca Folicular: Falsos Negativos 5-16%.
LIMITACIONES: dificultad de interpretación en tiempo limitado
![Page 53: Nodulos tiroideos](https://reader035.fdocuments.ec/reader035/viewer/2022081506/5571f84e49795991698d215e/html5/thumbnails/53.jpg)
AMPLIACION A TIROIDECTOMÍA TOTAL
Mejor control postoperatorio (niveles de tiroglobulina).
Mejor control de recidivas locales. Facilita las gammagrafías posteriores de
rastreo . Incidencia de tumores en la 2ª .
Hemitiroidectomía 30-60%
![Page 54: Nodulos tiroideos](https://reader035.fdocuments.ec/reader035/viewer/2022081506/5571f84e49795991698d215e/html5/thumbnails/54.jpg)
MICROCARCINOMA DE TIROIDES
Carcinoma de diámetro < 10 mmmm.
Hallazgo común en autopsias y en tiroides extirpados por otras patologías (otras 3--36%).
Incidencia en la población general de entre 5-10%, pero sólo 1.2% de los ocultos evolucionarán a tumor visible.
La mayoría de ellos tiene un pronóstico excelente sea cual sea su tipo histológico
![Page 55: Nodulos tiroideos](https://reader035.fdocuments.ec/reader035/viewer/2022081506/5571f84e49795991698d215e/html5/thumbnails/55.jpg)
