Don’t allow Easter to pass without exploring your relationship with God. You need Him more than you know.

Así estoy pensando acerca de la relación entre una oveja y un pastor. ¿Por qué? Porque esta imagen se usa frecuentemente, incluso por Jesús, para describir su relación con la Iglesia y Su relación con nosotros. Es una relación muy cercana e íntima.

La oveja sigue exactamente las instrucciones del pastor, la oveja permanece cerca del pastor y si se pierde, el pastor la trae de regreso. Las ovejas dependen del pastor para la comida y el sustento y el trabajo del pastor es dedicarse completamente al cuidado de las ovejas. Así que es muy íntimo.

Así es exactamente como Jesús quiere que nosotros nos rela-cionemos con Él: en intimidad, con dependencia y con una confianza total. Pregúntese a usted mismo: ¿cuántas personas hay en su vida en las que usted confía, sigue, y depende totalmente? No muchas, ¿correcto? Tal vez ni siquiera una persona. Pero sólo imagínese qué hermoso debe de ser poder contar con

Every Thursday from 3pm-8pm Fr Jeremy receives parishioners for consultation without appointment. Simply call by and add your name to the list and wait. You are all invited to join us as we say the Rosary twice daily thru the month of May; Monday thru Thursday after the morning Mass and in the evening at 7pm; Friday after the 7:15am Mass and 6pm; Saturday after the 9am Mass and 6pm; Sunday only in the evenings at 6pm.

Sunday, May 10th is the day we will honor our Blessed Mother with our Annual May Crowning. It will take place in the church at 12:00pm. Those children who recently made their First Communion are especially invited to take part in the procession. You are welcome to bring flowers to be placed in the altar.

NCA Wildcat Summer Camp Registration is now open for NCA’s Wildcat Summer Camp. This is a great option for NCA registered students and children of registered parishioners from NCA sponsoring parishes. Wildcat Camp runs June 15 – August 14 and offers age specific programing for preschool through 8th grade. Campers enjoy weekly field trips, arts and crafts, cooking, drama, science, read-ing, sports, and more. Prices are $190/week for 4 or more weeks or $235/week for individual weeks. Registration for the first year of First Communion and Confirmation Classes starting this September, will be the Saturdays of June 6, 20 and 27 from 9am to 11am and Friday, June 19 and 26 from 6pm to 8pm in the school building located at 1706 W. Morse Ave. The cost for registration for each sacrament is $125 per year for the first child and $25 for any extra child from the same family. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. Payment is to be made IN FULL at the time of registration. After July 1, 2015 late registration is $150 for the first child and $50 for any additional child. You also need to bring your child’s Baptismal Certificate.

Bearing Fruit “Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.” John’s words come to us on this day when the Gospel passage presents us with the great image of the vine and the branches. Jesus uses the image as a warning to those who have begun to distance themselves from the way of the Lord. One of the ways this happens is when we love God and others “in word or speech” instead of “in deed and truth.” What does it mean for us to “remain in Christ”? In an extension of the metaphor, the Lord gives us an example. If we remain in him, we will bear much fruit. As the branches, we draw strength from Christ who is the vine. Para Dar Fruto “Hijos míos: No amemos solamente de palabra; amemos de verdad y con las obras”. Las palabras de Juan nos llegan hoy cuando el pasaje del Evangelio nos presenta con la gran imagen del viñedo y las ramas. Jesús usa la imagen como un aviso a los que se han empezado a distanciar de la senda del Señor. Esto sucede cuando amamos a Dios y a otros “con palabras o dichos” y no con “la verdad y las obras”. ¿Qué significa para nosotros “permanecer en Cristo”? El Señor

Si permanecemos en él, daremos mucho fruto. Como ramas sacamos la fuerza de Cristo que es la viña. Esa fuerza nos

St Jerome Book Club Join Fr Jeremy and book club members on Friday, May 15 at 8pm in the Rectory to

discuss the following book “Trieste” by Dasa Drndic. Read the book in advance, come, share and enjoy.

World Youth Day 2016/Día Mundial de la Juventud 2016 St Jerome is looking to send a delegation of youth leaders to be with Pope Francis in Poland for August 2016. We will be inviting everyone to sponsor this activity. Our Youth program is the biggest in the parish and the commitment by our young people is exemplary. The cost to join the Archdiocesan group is $4,000 per person. Please consider sponsoring one of our youths. A campaign will begin in June. More information to follow. All donations for this event are tax deductible. San Jerónimo desea enviar una delegación de jóvenes líderes para estar con el Papa Francisco en Polonia en agosto, 2016.
