Relative causes

Second conditionalSon oraciones que tienen una posible acción con una posible consecuencia.

Si tu estuvieras aquí, yo sería feliz

If you were here, I would be happy

Las oraciones tienen un if (si) que pone la condición, al principio o al medio.Para poner verbos con condiciones, ocupamos el pasado:

Además, utilizamos el would, que es algo así como la terminación “ía” de los verbos con condición (p.ej, I run (yo corro) I would run (yo correría)

If I paid attention I would learn much more.Si yo prestara atención, yo aprendería más.

Parents would be angry if the students don’t learn.Los padres estarían enojados si es que los alumnos no aprenden.

If he ate chocolate, he would have a stomachache.Si el comiera chocolate, tendría dolor al estomago.

She would wear this dress if she was skinnier.Ella usaría este vestido si fuera mas delgada.

Cuando queremos decir “más adjetivo” usamos la terminación er/ier con los adjetivos cortos (smaller,fatter,taller) y “more adjetivo” con los largos (more intelligent)

Ordenando oracionesPara ordenar oraciones con facilidad, hay que seguir 3 pasos:

1.Traducir las palabras.

good-looking /if / really /I / be / would / a / were / model.guapa / si / de verdad/ ser o estar/ “ía” / un, una/ fuese/ modelo.

2. Buscar las palabras con Mayúscula o con punto, para entender como es el orden (en el caso que hubiese) .Buscar la oración con If, que SIEMPRE va con el sujeto (I,she, he,etc) , y un verbo en pasado. Buscar el would

If I were….I would be….model. Si yo fuera…sería...modelo.

3. Buscarle sentido a las demas palabras y darles coherenciaIf I were really good-looking, I would be a model.Si yo fuera de verdad muy guapa, sería modelo.

Se utilizan para reemplazar el objeto o la persona, o para preguntar.

Who = quienThat teacher is the one who hates me.Ese profesor es quien me odia. (no se usa “que” )

Whose = cuyo, cuyaTom is the boy whose toy is brokenTom es el niño cuyo juguete esta roto

Which = el cual, la cual, queThat is the TV which I wanted to buy.Esa es la TV que quería comprar
