NO ESTACIONAR EN ZONA DE BOMBEROS

Hay alguna áreas alrededor del complejo de la escuela

de Bremen que están designadas como zonas de carril

de fuego y no estacionamiento. Se le recuerda a los

conductores que estos carriles de bomberos deben per-

manecer abiertos en todo momento del día y de la no-

che. No se deben estacionar vehículos a lo largo de es-

tas zonas y dejarlos desocupados en cualquier momen-

CLUB DE CODIFICACION

El Club de Codificación esta

comenzando de nuevo! Utiliza-

mos software y aplicaciones

en línea para que los alumnos tengan la opor-

tunidad de aprender los conceptos básicos de

las técnicas de codificación y resolución de

problemas, crear juegos y aplicaciones, y com-

partir lo que aprendemos y creamos con los

demás. Usamos programas como Scratch, Co-

de.org, Tynker, Hop Scotch, Alice, Processing,

Codecademy, y posiblemente otros dependiendo

de la capacidad y la necesidad. También tene-

mos a capacidad de realizar actividades prac-

ticas para ayudar con el aprendizaje y la com-

prensión.

El Club de Codificación de BEMS se reúne los

jueves de 3:15 a 4:00 en el salón #16. si tie-

LIGA DE BALOCESTO JUVENIL Los programas de baloncesto masculino y feme-nino de la Preparatoria de Bremen dirigirán nue-vamente una liga juvenil este invierno. Practica-remos y jugaremos los sábados por la tarde, to-dos los juegos y practicas se llevara a cabo en

los gimnasios de a escuela secundaria de Bremen. Las fechas tentativas para la liga serán 5 sábados consecutivos, comen-zando el 12 de enero del 2019 hasta el 9 de febrero del 2019. esto sea para los grados 3-6, cada sesión durara 90 minutos. Practicaremos aproximadamente 45 minutos cada semana, se-guidos inmediatamente por un juego. Tendremos mas detalles disponibles mas adelante en el año escolar, incluidos los costos y la información de registro.

RETO DE LA BIBLIOTECA PU-BLICA DE BREMEN

El Reto de Ficción Flash de la Bi-blioteca Publica de Bremen esta aceptando entradas! Invitamos a los estudiantes en los grados 6-12 a participar al terminar este men-saje de escritura: "Nada es tan do-loroso para la mente humana co-mo un cambio grande y repen-tino." las entradas deben de tener entre 500 y 1,000 palabras. PRUEBAS DE BEISBOL 14U El equipo de Bremen 14U realizara pruebas el sábado 13 de octubre y el domingo 14 de octubre de 3pm a 5pm en el campo de Pony League (adyacente a las jaulas de bateo cerca de los campos de liga pequeña). Para ser elegible, los jugadores no pueden tener 15 antes del 5/1/19. nos gustaría que los jugadores asistieran a AMBOS días si es disponible. Anticipamos una temporada de 15-20 juegos que comenzara a mediados de abril y finalizara a mediados de julio. Esperamos mantener 11-12 juga-dores en el equipo. VOLEIBOL DE BREMEN VA A LA ZO-NA ESTE INVIERNO!

Bremen quiere llevar a los equipos a LA ZO-NA para participar en una liga de voleibol de invierno. Cualquier persona de 4to al 8vo grado puede participar. El costo es de $70 por persona. 2018 Bremen Youth Wrestling Camp Dear Parents: The Bremen Wrestling coaching staff will be conducting a wrestling camp for athletes in grades K -6th. Our goal is to teach the athletes basic fundamentals of wrestling, sportsmanship, and to have fun. Athletes should wear a t shirt, shorts, and a pair of wrestling/gym shoes. All practices will be conducted within the Lions Den, which is located in the High School next to the main office. We will conduct 4 practices to be held on the following dates: Tuesday, October 30th 5:30 -6:45pm Thursday, November 1st 5:30 -6:45pm Tuesday, November 6th 5:30- 6:45pm Thursday, November 8th 5:30 -6:45pm We encourage parents to get involved in these practices and help teach the athletes proper technique. Following our 4 practices, we will host an end of camp tournament on Saturday, November 10th at 1:00pm. During the tournament, we will conduct a brief practice to demonstrate what the athletes have learned and then each athlete will wrestle 2 matches against boys approximately their own weight and age. We will not keep score during these matches, and there will be no pins. T -shirts will be passed out after the tournament. Cost of the camp is $30.00, and includes a T -Shirt from the tournament. Checks can be made out to Bremen Wrestling Club and should be returned with the application to the high school athletic school office. We would prefer registration forms be turned in early, however, you may also bring your registration to the first practice on Tuesday, October 30th if you wish to sign up then. Kiwanis Halloween Party

Children (from birth to fifth grade) are invited to wear their

favorite Halloween costumes to the annual Kiwanis Halloween

Party and Costume Contest on Tuesday, October 30, at the

Bremen Elementary-Middle School.

Carnival-style games begin at 6:30 p.m. in the gym, followed by

a costume

contest at 6:45, also in the gym. Refreshments will be available

across the hall in the K-8 cafeteria.

School Safety & Security Update: No Parking Fire Lane Zones

There are a few areas around the Bremen school complex that are designated as No Parking Fire

Lane Zones. Drivers are being reminded that these fire lanes need to remain open at all times of

the day and night. No vehicles should be parked along these zones and left unoccupied at any

time.

On the north side of Bremen schools, parking is available in the lot near Doors 8, 9 and 10 and

along South Street, Maryland Street, Baltimore Street, and Indiana Street.

On the east side of Bremen schools, ample parking is available in the lot on Marshall Street.

Thank you to all drivers for obeying the parking regulations around the Bremen school complex

and for helping us to keep all children safe.
