Scenario: The project you are working on has recently decided to replace an in-house digital identity management solution with an off-the-shelf productBrief: Put together a short presentation to describe how a BA would contribute to this process and what your approach to that work would be

Have we decided what off-the shelf to use: yes

123 -123 Risk Management MatrixRisk in itself is not bad; risk is essential to progress, and failure is often a key part of learning. But we must learn and Measure to balance the possible negative consequences of risk against the potential benefits of its associated opportunity. -Van Scoy, 1992communicate

RankRiskProbabilityImpactRank Last Week/ Weeks on list Action

Risk -- is the description of the risk itself, preferably stated in CTC format. Probability-- is the likelihood of the risk occurring, using either a numeric or categorical scale, as discussed in the last section. Impact -- is the magnitude of the loss if the risk were to occur, using either a numeric or a categorical scale. Rank last week and the number of weeks on list -- are documented so the team can monitor changes in priority, to determine if actions are being taken that cause changes in the stature of the risk.Action -- documents what the team is doing to manage the risk, as will be discussed in sections 1.4-1.5. The action field is often not completed until the risks have been prioritized, as will be discussed in the next section.

123 -123 Risk Management Matrix

Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM Approach)

identify acceptance criteria to certify that prioritized requirements are fulfilled- the process of thinking about and measuring the effects/impact of in-house x off-the-shelf replacement. The policy analysis criteria will be used to build the Social cost/benefit analysis matrix

Social Benefit-Cost Analysis (The PAMs Middle Row)

The second step in the empirical application of the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) is an assessment of revenues, costs, and profits in social (efficiency) prices. Data on social revenues and costs are entered in the middle row of the PAM, commonly called the social row.RevenuesCostsProfitsInputFactorPrivateSocial (efficiency) PricesSocialEFGHEffect of Divergences

Gap Analysis (MoSCoW Method)Deliverable = MoSCoW matrix: MUST have/should/could

Deliverable = difference matrix: features and functions - % live with it- custom work vendor or in-house

Features will be mapped to Jira epics and functions to User Stories

The goal is to Identify Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats related to filling your Gap

Current state where you are target state where you want to be and how youre going to get there happy Path
