We at Victoria147 work towards female professional development. From the businesswoman willing to create something different to the female executive who dreams of becoming a leading force in her industry, we want to see them achieve their dreams.

This is why our main task is to spot women who are changing things in Mexico and making an impact. We promote their stories; but above all, we walk beside them through their professional and personal journey to help them become all-round women and exploit their potential to the fullest.

REDEFINING THE CONCEPT OF THE MODERN WOMAN

We at Victoria147 want to reexamine what being a woman means nowadays, inspiring more women by sharing success stories, and thus creating awareness in our society and promoting women’s professional and personal growth.

our mission

Expand our network of experts so that they may, by sharing their knowledge and ex-pertise, guide and communicate value to female entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Spot and share the best success stories of female entrepreneurs, so that their stories may inspire others.

Encourage the creation of a suitable environment to promote the all-round develop-ment of female entrepreneurs and executives and help them grow in their industries.

Engage allies such as funds, institutions, companies, service providers, business incu-bators, universities and professional people who may be willing to provide support to economically active women.

Strengthen the enterprising ecosystem so that more business opportunities are available to women.

our goals

Until 2013, three out of every five small and medium-sized startups in Mexico were led by women.

7% of directors in Mexican companies’ Boards are wo-men (OCED)

Women represent 51% of self - employ-ment in the informal sector. (OCED)

Women in Mexico represent only 16% of the business sector (INEGI)

The most significant barriers to the peak development of Mexican women in the work market are unpaid work load, traditional gender roles, and a lack of policies to conciliate work and family life (OCED)

business accelerator

We want to find women whose businesses have been operating for more than 2 years and whose story may inspire other female entrepreneurs.

The process to become a Victoria147 Entrepreneur involves an assessment by a committee. They review the business model and determine if it is scalable. Then, one expert from our network prepares an individual project assessment.

A diagnosis of the entrepreneur and the business and financial models helps us to pinpoint the elements that both the entrepreneur and the business require to grow, and then we offer services according to those needs to improve the models.

We select an expert, called Fellow, with the specific expertise required by the entrepreneur, to work closely with her and help her make the right decisions based on the company’s needs.

Services

Plan A is a one-year program focused on the company’s strategic planning, consisting of monthly meetings between the entrepreneurs and their Fellows.

The entrepreneurs have access to mentors within our network of experts, who can help them answer specific questions or discuss areas of expertise other than those of their Fellow.

Break is a networking model where we pair up entrepreneurs from the same industry or with the same concerns, so that they can get to know and help each other, sharing their experiences.

Espacio is a meeting point for female entrepre-neurs, where they can interact and build their networks, creating alliances, synergies and knowledge.

I Love is a workshop held every two months. Its aim is to provide the entrepreneurs and the general public with tools in connection with important topics in the enterprising ecosys-tem, such as public relations, social media or growth.

With the purpose of supporting startups or businesses in their early stages, we created a 10-month program of learning activities designed to create, develop and sharpen up the business model, to ensure the success of that business.

Landing is a program addressed to en-trepreneurs who have a business idea or are developing a business model which needs some sharpening up.

Starter is a program designed for women who already have a business which is at an early stage or has not yet managed to establish growth and consolidation strat-egies. As part of this scheme, we help women to assess and analyze the basics of their business: model, strategy, finance, management, structure, and sales.

growth program for female executives

Equality at work is a very important topic at Victoria147, so we have been working since 2014 to create a diagnosis applicable to companies in order to identify their levels of gender equality, and then work on any weaknesses of the business to improve the conditions for female executives.

Diagnosis

• Review the company’s procedures and policies with Human Resources. • Survey all employees, men and women, to get their perception of the level of gender equality

prevailing in their company, fair treatment to collaborators, and growth factors that may favor their professional development in the company.

• One-off interviews with management and key people within the company.

WorkshopsDevelopment programs are a customized solution, and so will depend on the areas required by each company. Our service includes a program of workshops aimed at executive-level women, to achieve their all-round professional and personal development.

Expert visitsConferences where one expert explains in detail a topic to a huge audience, based on topics determined as a part of the initial diagnosis.

Forums and workshopsSmall-group training led by a moderator with exper-tise in various topics; they share knowledge and ex-perience.

BreakA small group meets with a methodological moderator to discuss topics of empathy and experience, building close ties between the participants.

Inspirational visitAn inspiring woman tells her story and is introduced as an example to the participants.

Certification by and for Women

This equality certification seeks to promote the professional de-velopment of women in companies operating in Mexico, ensuring that women are offered equal opportunities at work and compa-nies have front-line executive-level women.

For a company to be awarded our equality seal, it must pass in the diagnostic areas of work policies and culture.

The “Seal by and for women” is a one-year award, and in addition the company has to identify and work on key topics and priorities to improve the quality of female jobs.

integral care

From the moment we started operations, our main concern at Victoria147 has been the role of women in the workplace. From entrepreneurs to executive-level females, personal care and balance are important because women act with confidence if they look good and feel good about themselves.

Professional women now need to keep a close eye on the balance between work and personal care, making sure they have some “me” time and their own space, to feel good and successful, explore who they are and pamper themselves.

V147 is a brand of personal care and beauty products that meet this need. It offers 65 different products, ranging from regular and herbal teas to treatments, food supplements and snacks perfect for hard-working women who are willing to deliver the best per-formance both in their lives and in their careers.

In its first stage, this brand is marketed through the website www.v147.mx with natural products delivered nationwide. All suppliers comply with legal quality standards and in some cases are Victoria147 entrepreneurs who offer special edition products.
