Vegvisir
El Vegvísir es un símbolo mágico que pretende guiar a las personasdurante una jornada de mal tiempo. No obstante, Vegvísir no se puedeconsiderar un mito, está relacionado con un artefacto (brújula solar)usado por los navegantes vikingos parecido a la rosa de los vientos.[1][2]
Este símbolo aparece en un libro islandés de magia, o grimorio conocidopor Galdrabók, publicado hacia el 1600.[3][4]
Neopaganismo
El vegvísir reaparece en el neopaganismo en forma de tatuaje (aunque noestá demostrada la existencia de tatuajes en los pueblos del norte previa ala entrada del Cristianismo[5]), como símbolo místico de ayuda para notorcerse en el camino recto a seguir en la vida.
La cantante islandesa Björk mostrando sutatuaje vegvísir
El ejemplo más conocido pertenece a la cantante Björk que muestratatuado un vegvísir en su brazo izquierdo.[6]
