I hope that you had a safe and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to working with you and your child this year.

The O’Farrell Elementary School’s mission is to provide a top quality education to all students in a small group environment that fosters individual growth and achievement. On the first day of school, class assignments will be posted outside the entrance to the school – this will be the class to which your student will report. Students must enter the elementary school through the back parking lot (entrance on 61st st.).

Here are some important dates:

• New Student Orientation: Friday, August 25: 8:00 a.m. o Hollis Gentry III Auditorium (front of school) o For students and parents new to O’Farrell

• First Day of School: Monday, August 28 o The O’Farrell Elementary School: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Please note that the elementary school’s start and end times have changed from the previous school year. Starting this 2017-2018 school year, The O’Farrell Elementary School will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The OCS uniform policy is enclosed. Please review it carefully and work with your child to ensure (s)he has proper uniform attire by the first day of school. The uniform policy will be enforced starting the first day of school. Uniforms may be purchased at Mario’s Family Clothing. They will be on campus selling uniforms Friday, August 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Espero que hayan tenido un verano seguro y agradable, espero con interés trabajar con usted y su hijo este año. La misión de la Escuela O'Farrell es proporcionar una educación de alta calidad a todos los estudiantes en un entorno de grupos pequeños que fomenta el crecimiento y el logro individual. A cada estudiante en O'Farrell se le asigna un profesor de Homebase para apoyarlo(a) y guiarlo(a). El profesor de Homebase también es el contacto principal con los padres/tutores. En el primer día de clases, asignaciones de Homebase se colocarán fuera de la entrada a la escuela, esta será la primera clase a la que se presentará su estudiante. Los estudiantes deben entrar el plantel por el estacionamiento de atras (por la calle 61).

• Escuela Primaria: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. La poliza del uniforme de O'Farrell está incluida. Por favor revise cuidadosamente y trabaje con su hijo(a) para asegurarse que traiga el uniforme completo y adecuado el primer día de clases. La poliza del uniforme se aplicará a partir del primer día de clases. Los uniformes se pueden comprar en la tienda Mario’s Family Clothing.
