Begin by:

• Use the curl level chart to determine the client’s desired result and expectations.

• Be sure the client understands the Cliove Smoothing Treatment and when a retouch will be required.

• Provide clear instructions on how to care for their hair at home using Cliove products.

• Explain the benefits of our treatment. Cliove is an organic Olive Oil Keratin Treatment base formula, our formula will soften, but will not break the bonds of the hair, temporary removing about 3 curl levels. At home use of Cliove maintenance products will ensure the longevity of the treatment.

Clarify & Cleanse

• Shampoo the client’s hair twice with the Cliove Clarifying• Shampoo to remove any styling products and all impurities from the

hair. Cleanse the hair thoroughly without irritating the scalp.• Do not apply conditioner after shampooing.

In some hair type a deeper clarify process is necessary by applying a 20vol peroxide developer for 20min and then follow the clarifying shampoo process

Towel Dry• Squeeze excess water from the hair with a towel. Avoid rubbing the hair with towel and creating damage.• Use a detangling comb to comb the hair, if hair tangles, you can

use a bit of the keratin solution to detangle the hair. Do not use any leave in products!

Sectioning and Application• Hair must to be damp during application, use a spray bottle and spray

the hair with water if hair get dry. Don’t make hair socking wet, its just need to be damp during application.

• Section the hair into 4 sections.• Put on gloves.• Start Total Smooth Keratin Solution application at the nape. Use 1”

sub sections.• Begin applying the product just 1/2” off the scalp through to the ends

of the hair.• Use a color brush and comb to apply the product to each section. Do

not over saturated!• Do not rinse after you finish the application.

Blow Dry• Gloves should be worn during this step.• Using fingertips and palm methods, apply 2-3 drops of Cliove Styling

cream from hair ends to complete shaft to aid with blow drying.• Blow dry hair to 100%. Use concentrator nozzle and a brush.• For extremely wavy or curly hair use a round brush to create

tension.

Flat Iron• Gloves should be worn during this step.• Section hair to 4 sections.• Heat Flat Iron to texture appropriate temperature. 380F-450F

(iron temperature will vary from each client depends on the hair condition,texture and the client’s desired result).

• Starting at the nape, use 1/8 subsections of hair.• Pass titanium/ceramic blend keratin iron (5-10 passes) smoothly

over each 1/8 subsection, from new growth to ends.

Finish• Using fingertips and palm methods, apply 1-2 drops

of Cliove Hair Serum from hair ends to complete shaft. Defining texture, shine, and silkiness for a finished look.

• 24 hours after the treatment client may shampoo their hair using the Cliove after care products.
