Catch a Game & a Pizza at Johnny’sFor the first time in a good long while I stayed up past my bedtime. I went to an event withfriends and afterward someone suggested that we head to Johnny Malloy’s for a bite to eat. Itwas probably 9:00 p.m. when we got there, which was an ordeal and a source of conversation for some time. I’m sure I’ll hear about it again, too.

A good many people didn’t know that part of town so I casually mentioned, it’s where theWhales Tale use to be. I was instantly a time stamped photo and they all howled with laughter.One person even exclaimed that I had to live here at least twenty five years to now that place. So

what. So, I’ve been to the Whales Tale. It was back in the day and I had the energy.

If you’re looking for a good place to catch a game, grab a bite to eat or blow off some steam onthe weekend, Johnny Malloy’s is a great place to hang out. There are so many TV’s that every person can see a game without craning their neck around. We watched Texas vs. Texas Techand it was a nailbiter to the very end.

Thank gosh I don’t do late nights often. Fortunately I stayed out on time change and wastechnically home by 11. Yeah, I’m a *real* party dog.

STATS Sports Restaurant

Challenge:

Atlanta has met its match in the arrival of the newest sports restaurant, STATS. Delivering the best in audiovisual technology, STATS -- teamed up with local AM radio station "790 TheZone" -- is the premiere venue for avid sports fans.

Solution:

Structured with old-Atlanta brick architecture, STATS sports restaurant provided an AVintegration within a unique and challenging environment, and one that perfectly caters to thisniche market. The 15,000 square foot venue boasts: 70 HD flat screen monitors; a custom-

designed 33 foot U-shaped color ticker display with continuous updates of statistics and financialdata via a programmable dedicated Internet connection; 15 separate theme-designed roomsthroughout three levels; a large roof deck and sliding roof system; and an HD multi-zone audiosystem that is high-impact, routed to each of the 15 rooms or deck.

The main bar's projection system particularly exceeds client expectations. Two Projection DesignF30 projectors each display vertically-stacked 8' x 6'images. As the focal display point, this setup allows up to eight sources to be projected on the 8' x 12' screen at any time, preservingoptimum picture quality.

The client wanted multiple HD images that could include any of the video sources, pluscomputer-generated images for upcoming events, daily specials or advertising. We particularlyselected RGB Spectrum QuadView XL processors because of their ability to handle the projection system’s unique requirements by making real-time dynamic movement, as well as providing picture-in-picture displays and allowing resizing to both of the main bar's projectors.
