Fitxa per al Professorat ANGLÈSLa present unitat didàctica intenta aproximar a l’alumne a la reflexió entorn del seu propi model de vida i les repercussions socials i ambientals que té tant sobre l’entorn proper (comunitat local) com a l’entorn global (comunitat internacional)

Per a això es compta amb diferents activitats on els alumnes poden descobrir el concepte de “petja-da ecològica”

Les metodologies a utilitzar segueixen criteris per treballar els aspectes curriculars i l’Educació per al Desenvolupament ja que:

1. Parteixen de situacions i / o problemes propers a l’alumnat

2. Inclouen activitats d’aprenentatge cooperatiu o col·laboratiu

3. Respecta les diferències i la diversitat de l’alumnat

4. Promou la responsabilitat de l’alumnat en el procés d’aprenentatge.

5. Afavoreix el pensament crític, el qüestionament constructiu

6. Afavoreix la creació d’una atmosfera de convivència i col·laboració en les relacions personals.

Objectius específics• Prendre consciència dels problemes que afecten el nostre planeta (escalfament global, destrucció

de la capa d’ozó, efecte hivernacle, etc.) i fomentar en l’alumnat una consciència respectuosa en-vers l’entorn que l’envolta i evitar el seu deteriorament.

• Conèixer el mal ús i abús que l’home fa dels recursos naturals i les conseqüències que això porta per al planeta.

• Facilitar la participació activa en tasques de consum responsable i de conservació del medi ambient.

• Motivar l’alumnat a valorar, respectar i millorar el medi ambient a través del desenvolupament d’ac-tituds de respecte cap al mateix.

• Conèixer i analitzar les relacions entre consum i ecologia i aproximar-se al concepte de reutilització i reciclatge.

• Conèixer el vocabulari sobre clima.

• Elaborar i analitzar un climograma de la nostra regió.

• Crear textos orals senzills usant expressions numèriques.

• Fer servir suports multimèdia per a l’adquisició de nou lèxic, formes i estructures de la llengua.

• Utilitzar l’eina Calc per processar informació numèrica.

• Fer operacions bàsiques de processament de textos.

• Facilitar el desenvolupament d’habilitats socials a través del treball cooperatiu.

ProcedimentsCada activitat comença presentant una situació amb uns personatges específics, que permetran a l’alumnat situar-se en un moment concret i contextualitzar la matèria amb la qual treballarà al llarg de les activitats. D’aquesta manera, es pretén que s’enfronti a cadascuna de les tasques després de plantejar diferents situacions on podrà dotar de significat al material amb què treballi.

A continuació, cada activitat disposa d’una sèrie de tasques, per treballar individualment o en grup, denominades “It’s your turn” I “Let’s practise together”, on podrà posar en pràctica els coneixements que vagi adquirint durant el treball d’aquesta unitat.

D’altra banda, en algunes activitats s’ha habilitat un espai complementari en el qual es proposen ac-tivitats d’ampliació i / o reforç sobre els coneixements treballats anomenat “More ...”, així com un altre espai de caràcter reflexiu anomenat “Imagine that .. . “, on es pretén que l’alumnat, ja sigui treballant a nivell individual o en grup, reflexioni sobre diferents aspectes tractats a la unitat, permetent així un es-pai per al desenvolupament crític.

El recurs també inclou un apartat “Self-evaluation” perquè l’alumnat de forma autònoma pugui com-provar si ha adquirit els coneixements correctament.

Actituds• Prendre consciència de la necessitat d’actuar en la defensa d’un medi ambient sa i de posar fre

als problemes que posen en perill el futur del planeta.

• Defensar un desenvolupament sostenible dels recursos de la natura perquè aquests puguin ser gaudits per les properes generacions, la qual cosa passa per l’adopció de comportaments i hàbits respectuosos i compromesos amb la defensa del medi ambient.

Competències generals:Comunicativa: argumentar a partir de premisses de forma clara, coherent i persuasiva. Hauran de demostrar aquesta competència en una presentació oral.

Gestió i tractament de la informació: Recerca i selecció d’informació aplicada a l’estudi de ca-sos, contrast de les valoracions fetes a partir de dades fruit de l’observació amb altres fonts així com accés a base de dades públiques.

It’s your turnClimate ChangeAnd you? Do you know what climate change is? Think about the following questions, and other ques-tions that your teacher will ask you. Give an answer to them and read them out loud in class when it is your turn:

• Have you ever heard the expression “Climate Change”? What does it mean?

• Do you know what the Greenhouse effect is? What does it mean?

• Have you ever experienced any signs of climate change where you live (unusual snowfalls, drought, etc)? Describe them.

What is a climograph? A climograph is a graphical representation of basic climatic parameters, such as monthly average temperature and precipitation, at a certain location. It is used for a quick-view of the climate of a location.

Look at the following examples:

Now you can create your own climograph. Visit the following website and look for data related to your county.

Select your region.Insert the data about temperature and rainfall in a table this year. In another table, create your own weather forecast by inserting data related to the temperature and rainfalls you imagine for the future.

From these two tables, create two line-and-column graphs with Calc (one graph for the real data and one for the invented data). Don’t worry if you don’t know how to create these graphs. View the fo-llowing tutorial.

Think about three specific proposals to reduce energy consumption in your school, for example: tur-ning off the lights when your lesson is finished, recycling paper, closing the doors and windows in winter, etc. Be original!

• Write down these three proposals in a presentation.

• Share your presentation with your teacher.

When all the groups have shared their presentation with the teacher, they will be shown on the inte-ractive whiteboard. Write down in a piece of paper the ideas that you think are more interesting and original.

Once you have seen all the presentations, you will all together choose the three most interesting pro-posals. Your teacher will create a presentation with these three proposals and share it with you via Google Docs.

Don’t you think that sharing your proposals is a good way to collaborate and protect the environment? Once the final presentation has been created, your teacher will publish it and will give you the link where you can view it and show it to everyone!

At the end of the page, write the character’s name, the name of the person who asked the questions and the name of the person who answered them.
