• The epicenter was at Rio Balsas, Michoacan.

• The magnitude of the earthquake was 8.1.

How does it affect life on earth?• There was a total of 10,000 deaths.

• More than 30,000 people were sheltered.

• There were more than 150,000 total earthquake victims.

• A total of 2,000 structures were seriously damaged, including their historic downtown.
