Vehicles with roof boxes, bicycle or snowboard carriers are a common sight on our roads.

Its good to see the Atera logo. Because we have the safe transportation of sport

and professional equipment at our heart - this is what matters.

Our designers and engineers are working continuously on the further development

of Atera carrier systems in form, function and user-friendly intuitive handling.

The innovations for this year are the Atera Strada tow bar carriers for the transportation

of two to four bicycles or heavy e-bikes. With the new Strada Evo we extend our

range to seven tow bar carriers. Consequently Atera is offering a unique variety of

products in different price categories with different loading comfort.

We announce with pride the success of our Strada Sport carrier.

Twice a test winner in the last major ADAC test Bike carriers for tow bars and most recently

in the Stiftung Warentest 6/2011 Best tow bar carrier for e-bikes. A special achievement,

since the bike carrier Strada Sport as well as other Atera tow bar carriers are also

appropriate for the transportation of bicycles with or without electric motor.

In the Test with the high load of two e-bikes it obtained by far the best grade 1,8 (good).

In addition the multiple awarded Giro AF secured the second place and the grade 2,6.

The systematic selection of high grade materials and the professional workmanship

are decisive features for the quality and durability of our products. Shapely, anodised

functional aluminium profiles and high-tech glass fibre-reinforced components give a unique

look, high stability and a high level of safety reserves to each Atera product even

in exceptional situations.

looks good on the roof. The distinctive clamping system holds your precious andvaluable bike securely. Suitable for wheels from 20 to 29 inches, with bulky MTB-tyres to thin racing bike tyres, and with strong or slim frames. Giro AF, the practiti-

oner, awarded 2nd place in the ADAC test 2011 and Stiftung Warentest 6/2011.

Wheel Protection

Competence in professional cycling. Its appropriate for Atera to advertise thisheadline. Other suppliers pay little attention to the protection of the goodsbeing carried, but Atera particularly cares for this. The Atera wheel holders aredeliberately formed like wheel-chocks in order to eliminate the enormouslateral, drag and shear loads. Thus the wheels are protected against any damage a small detail with a big effect.

The Giro AF holds round frames from 22 to 80 mm and oval frames upto 100 x 80 mm. Holding function: After the bike comes to rest between

the wheel holders, the bike leans against the open clamping head, holding itselfin a vertical position before the clamp is shut.

Dents and scratches are often theresult of non-professional xingsolutions and / or the use of cheap,hard materials, which are notappropriate to absorb high forces.

Atera is doing more to protectvaluable bikes:The lockable Strada distance holderscan be swivelled and turned in eachdirection.For the theft protection the ratchetstraps are enforced with a steel corewhile the bike frame itself is held softand secure by soft rubber cushions.

Even the ratchet system itself isequipped with an overloadprotection:The desired tension is reached byusing the ratchet when the tensionexceeds the desired level, the ratchetband automatically jumps to the nexttooth. The optimal tension remainsand is secured when the ratchetlever is locked.Consequently it is impossible tocrush the bike frame.
