Project Results• 171 clients trained and certified (94 with MFS II and 77 on other projects)• 65 business plans and business ideas received (29 with MFS II and 36 on other projects)• 40 people introduced to BiD network and BiDx platform.• 20 successful matchmakings • 199 people took part in various study visits, roundtables, linkages meetings and B2B meetings (41

with MFS II and 158 on other projects)• 6 BCZ staff and trainers trained on 2 different topics• 33 people received free advisory and consultancy services (330 hours)

Project implementation dynamicsAll targeted results and outputs had been met and they did not have any major delays or changes in implementation of planned project activities.

Lessons Learned• People are still not ready to pay for BCZ services. • Right now we can be fully operational and sustainable only with help of donors.• Capacity building trainings had good impact on BCZ and its staff. • As a result of capacity building trainings BCZ started new programs which created two new job

positions and we got new clients.

Project Results• Business plan competition – 25 business plans received, out of which 23 approved by jury in

first cycle, second cycle is ongoing;• 2 businesses supported by Loan Guaranty Fund from Spark and NMFA.• Regional Entrepreneurship Fair with 60 exhibitors and Regional Gastronomic Fair with 30

exhibitors;• Over 30 matchmakings established;• Organized 2 Study visits with over 70 participants;• Introduction in entrepreneurship training – 65 people trained; Business Plan Writing training –

64 people trained; Record keeping, Finance and accounting training – 31 people trained in first cycle, second cycle is ongoing; Marketing training – 51 person trained; SME management training – 58 people trained; Agriculture development training – 29 people trained in first cycle; Global GAP and HACCP Standards training – 30 people trained in first cycle, second cycle is ongoing; Rural Tourism Development training – 60 people trained;

Project Results• 280 beneficiaries attended CTD activities in period March-October 2015 (7 months in total). • Monitoring is planned for November and will have more results about companies established and

jobs created. • CTD supported 6 beneficiaries through short-term jobs allowances scheme. • With consultancy hours, CTD supported existing entrepreneurs/businesses in developing project

proposals. 5 companies were awarded with grants.

Project implementation dynamicsCTD started project in March 2015, and first time as NGO established within Kosovo system.

Lessons Learned• This year, CTD worked more on fund raising and networking in order to ensure sustainability. • Also, as part of capacity building, CTD plans to have workshop till the end of project (MFS2) for

strategy development with stakeholders (for period 2016-2020) with MDF partners.

Project implementation dynamicsProject was implemented in two cycles. Each of them included Business running trainings such as: Entrepreneurship Introduction, Business Plan Writing, Finance/Accounting, Marketing, AgricultureSME Management, Consulting services provided for Business Plan Competition process, Evaluation of submitted Business plans

Lessons Learned• Out of 570 participants only 24 were women. Better terms and conditions for women start-up have

to be created from finance institutions.• As there are a lot of donor organizations in the municipalities we have covering, business people are

more interested for donations than loans.

Project Results• Delivered Practical growth-oriented training to more than 70 participants (20 women), trained

20 entrepreneurs (5 women) in CEED Grow Program, delivered more than 400 total Hours of Coaching for Development of Business Plans, over 50 Business Plans completed; 7000 entrepreneurs were reached via mass mailing, online media, and direct meetings.

• Delivered Business Support Services to 30 entrepreneurs and 50 participants

• CEED conducted an evaluation process for the Enhancing Entrepreneurship and Business Growth Program. The research was conducted with questionnaires while data was gathered from 150 SPARK entrepreneurs, about 55 entrepreneurs responded with a response rate of 37%.

• The Entrepreneurs were matched with Financial Institutions where 2 businesses have already received finances.

• CEED Kosovo organized a Business to Business conference with companies from Macedonia and Kosovo. A total of 160 participants companies from Macedonia and Kosovo were present at the event.

• 11 entrepreneurs from Kosovo participated in international business conference, organized for entrepreneurs part of CEED network and EEBG project. The international conference was organized in Belgrade, Serbia with companies from Kosovo and Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Albania.

Project Results• 1 major capacity-building on STIKK as IT Cluster of Excellence for lobbying purposes; 7

employees trained in Cluster of Excellence• 2 b2b matchmaking events (Berlin & Vienna), where 9 local companies and 4 staff from ICK and

STIKK participated; 3 business leads generated, over 100 contacts issued after events, and Kosovo ICT sector brand visibility increased.

• Kosovo IT Barometer report conducted from a survey containing the regional barometer. The survey included 40 companies from Kosovo. Available at www.stikk.org

• 1 quality forum for policymakers, academia and businesses created as an online platform for exchanging information and suggestions regarding new policies.

• Over 15 key meetings organized with high level stakeholders (ministers, head of parliament, primeminister) from the public institutions. Important achievements note: VAT rate changed for ICT equipment from 16%->8% (law no. 05/l-037), development fund for Innovation & Technology launched by Ministry of Economic Development, Kosovo ICT Strategy to be adopted in late November, discussions initiated for Business & Technology Park in Bernica.

• KosICT 2015 organized on 4 tech topics, 287 participants, over 22 speakers, over 50 local companies and 20 international companies present. High profile stakeholders from both public and private establishments were present.

Lessons Learned• Increased capacities in Advocacy & Lobbying and STIKK has become one of the most influential

organizations in terms of strategic development policies in the government.• ICT has become a prioritized sector for the government in terms of economic development. 2nd most

important after agriculture.
