The One 9 RDO and SIR 9 are perfect examples of Ninersversatility. On the outside, these bikes seem very different - theOne 9 RDO is destined to be the race bike of choice for Niners2014 professional sponsorships, while the SIR 9 is a bike mostaccurately compared to custom steel frames. What unifies themis their versatility and simplicity - both are excellent choicesfor singlespeed or 1x11 drivetrains (the SIR 9 is also front der.compatible).

The functionality of 1 x 11 drivetrains is addicting - this is a lesson we

at Niner have learned over the last year. Our demo fleet features XX1on several models, both full suspension and hardtail. The constantcomments from demo riders about the silent operation, perfectlypredictable shifting and the lack of any chain noise are one argumentfor this set up - the fact that the components have outlasted over 130days of demo is another.

Youve probably noticed we have a habit of revisiting our classicmodels and occasionally injecting them with a huge dose of YEAH! Inthe case of the One 9 RDO, weve created a completely new bike melding the single-mindedness of the legendary One 9 with our award-winning Air 9 RDO carbon chassis. The result is lightning quick, strongas a gorilla but sexy as they come. In other words, the One 9 RDO isgoing to make you forget all about your other bikes. If loving the One 9

RDO is wrong, you wont want to be right...

REFINED DESIGN The newest member of our hardtail RDOprogram, the One 9 RDO is a singlespeed racer designed to go flatout fast. The One 9 RDO is specifically intended as a singlespeedracing bike, utilizing the reduced diameters and trimmed profilesof our RDO hardtail line up throughout. The rear brake mountis tucked inside the curving stays to distribute twisting forcesevenly, permitting smaller caliper mounts and decreased wallthicknesses. Even the headset races in the headtube are moldedcarbon - we shaved grams wherever we found them. The netresult? A singlespeed that cant be matched for quality andweight.

TAPERED HEADTUBEThe benefits of a tapered headtube arent

just for riders of long travel bikes. XC racers and riders alsosee significant advantages, which is why we incorporate thetechnology in all our new frames. By using the newest taperedsteerer suspension forks, we create the stiffest front end possible leading to increased steering precision as you carve a corner

and descend toward the finish line. The integrated headset usedin the One 9 RDO is light and simple. Installation, cleaning andmaintenance take seconds rather than minutes, a boon to anyonewho queues up at the starting line without a team mechanic.

BIOCENTRIC BOTTOM BRACKETThe Niner BioCentric II makesadjustments easy across a wide range of gears and eliminatesthe need for adjustable dropouts, giving the cleanest possiblesolution for singlespeed use. No bolt on hubs, no chain tensionerscluttering your ride, no brake adjustments with gear changes.

1X DRIVETRAIN COMPATIBILITY- For those who want a littleextra versatility, the One 9 RDO is compatible with Niners CYAbottom bracket system, enabling riders to run systems such asSRAMs XX1 or XO1.

OVERSIZED HEADTUBE

The oversized headtube of the SIR 9 allows the use of taperedfork steerer tubes that measurably reduce fork deflection, whichmeans your Niner tracks straight and true. The full spectrum ofriders from xc racers to all mountain shredders benefit from thesefeatures which is why we incorporate the technology in all our newframes. The SIR 9 lets you take full advantage of increased steer-ing precision as you carve a corner and descend toward the finish.

BIO-CENTRIC II BOTTOM BRACKET SYSTEM

The Niner Bio-Centric II makes adjustments easy across a widerange of gears and eliminates the need for adjustable dropouts,

giving the cleanest possible solution for singlespeed use. No bolton hubs, no chain tensioners cluttering your ride, no brake adjust-ments with gear changes.

Greater Range - The Bio-Centric II offsets the bottom bracketspindle 8.5mm from center, offering greater range of adjustmentcompared to a traditional EBB setup. More offset is a boon whenchanging gears without having to change chain length and it al-lows riders to make more noticeable changes to frame geometryvia BB position.

Reliable Function - Traditional EBB units are held in place withset screws that can become difficult to finely adjust over time,or expansion wedges that can deform the bottom bracket shellof the frame. Split bottom bracket shells that clamp an EBB canstretch or ovalize. The Bio-Centric II avoids these troubles by us-ing two bolts to apply a clamping force on the outside edges ofthe BB shell, eliminating the possibility of ovalizing or indexing theshell itself. Field tested for over 18 months, secure, quiet, easy toinstall and adjust, the Bio-Centric II will change your ideas aboutsinglespeed drivetrain setup and maintenance.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

While tubing upgrades are the focus of this new design, we

havent forgotten the details. The new the SIR 9 uses 142x12mmspacing with an included Maxle for added rear-end torsionalstiffness, removable downtube cable guides, post mount brakebosses between the chain and seatstay for braking precision and,of course, the Niner headbadge and two great color options forthat finishing touch.
