At long last, it seems spring is here and with it comes blooming flowers, greening grass, and a burst of activity here at church. We were blessed to welcome two new members, Alena DeLuise and Frank Cassidy to our family. The confirmation class finished its classes for the year, and we will welcome twelve new confirmands as they affirm the promises made to them in their baptisms. The school art show also provided its blast of color in Fellowship Hall as the works of our talented young artists were displayed for everyone to admire. Signs of new life are evident everywhere you look.

Our Wednesday morning Bible class has started a new study on Paul’s Letter to the Philippians as well. Chapter two talks about the example Christ's life provides for each of us. Here, Paul urges us to be of one mind, the same mind that was in Christ Jesus. A mind that shows love towards its fellow brothers and sisters in the faith, looks after their needs, and humbly considers others as better than themselves. In reality, we have all sinned. We have not loved God, or our neighbor, as we should. However, the greater reality is that we serve a risen Savior who humbled Himself, becoming fully one of us, and who on our behalf voluntarily went to the cross so that we can live as His forgiven

children. As His children, through our lives, in our words, and in our actions we confess to the world that “Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

As we enter spring, my prayer is that we will all be open to new growth and strive to develop the mind of Christ in us.

St. Paul Christian Education Center

Our year is almost over and it has been full of blessings. Over 170 children have touched and blessed

our lives. Please continue to pray for our staff as we head into a very busy time of year. As with all things, we continually pray that God lead His school and that we stay true to His word. This year we have 7 classes

graduating! Praise God! Please come see why we are so proud of our graduates. Graduations are Thursday, June 14th and Friday June 15th @ 6:00, 6:45 and 7:30pm.

Our first (to be annual) “Date Night” was a huge success. Parents we able to have a night out alone while we had a pizza party with their children in Fellowship Hall. We entertained 50 children (ages 3-8) with

movies, pizza, ice cream, balloons, art projects and games! Our confirmation classes volunteered their time to

engage the children and make the night a special time.

We are continuing to register for the 2018-2019 school year. We have a few openings in some classes.

Please tell a friend! “SUMMER FUN” is 6 weeks long, from July 2nd through August 10th with morning classes and FULL Day classes for 3-5 year olds. Call 783-1068 for information on any of our programs.

We are accepting applications for substitute teaching assistants for the coming school year. If

interested, please call Ramona Adams or stop in the school office for an application. All you need is a spirit-

filled heart and a love for children. Ramona Adams, School Director

Sunday School Recognition Our Sunday School could not run without the dedicated efforts of our adult and teen staff who give of their time each week to prepare and teach the love of Jesus to all of our children. We give thanks and praise to God for your service!
