They had a different idea of what con-stituted a ―fair trade agreement.‖ Justice in our dealings with others continues to be an important measure of our character, and like a good parent, God cares very much about how we treat each other and about how others treat us. cepto muy diferente de lo que constituye un acuerdo ―de intercambio justo‖. La justicia en nuestros tratos con otros constituye una importante medida de nuestro carácter, como un buen padre de familia, a Dios le im-porta mucho cómo nos tratamos los unos a los otros y cómo los otros nos tratan a nosotros. Novena & Masses

Our parish will begin its All Souls Novena at the

8:00 AM Daily Mass on All Souls Day (Wednesday, November 2nd). The Novena will continue for 9

consecutive Masses (at the 8:00 AM Daily Mass Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the

5:00 PM Saturday Anticipated Mass of Sunday and

the 8:00 AM 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM Masses on Sunday, November 6th).

You may enroll deceased loved ones in the Novena by us-

ing the Novena envelope (available in the mailed packets or on the table in the vestibule) to list their names and include

your donation. Envelopes need to be turned in by the 8:00 AM Mass on Wednesday, November 2nd.

In addition, on Wednesday, November 2nd, there will be di-

ocesan celebrations of Memorial Masses at the two Catholic Cemeteries here in Tucson. The first Mass will begin at 8:00

AM at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery (2151 S. Avenida Los

Reyes). The second Mass will begin at 8:30 AM and will be held at Holy Hope Cemetery 3555 N. Oracle Road. Refresh-

ments will be available following the Masses.

Novena y Misas

Nuestra parroquia empezará la Novena de los Fieles

Difuntos en la Misa de las 8 de la mañana del Día de

los Fieles Difuntos (el 2 de noviembre). La novena continuará por nueve misas consecutivas (en la misa

diaria a las 8:00 de la mañana el miércoles, el jueves, el viernes, el sábado, la misa a las 5 :00 de la

tarde del sábado y las misas de 8:00, 10:00, 1:00 y 7:00 el domingo, 6 de noviembre).

Se pueden inscribir sus difuntos en la Novena, utili-

Because this feast does not fall on a Saturday or Monday

this year, the obligation to celebrate Mass applies to all Catholics. Our Mass schedule for that day is as follows: 8:00

AM (in English), 12:15 PM (in Spanish) and 6:00 PM (a bilin-gual celebration). In next week’s bulletin, we will include the

Preparing for the New Roman Missal

Over the past seven weeks, we have been including an in-

sert with information about the new translation of various parts of the Mass which will go into effect in all parishes in

the United States on the First Sunday of Advent (November 27th). In the next seven weeks, we will re-run these inserts

since some parishioners have probably missed one or more of them. In addition, two items not included previously will

be addressed in this series. Below is a list of the topics and

the dates for this series.

Dell Urich Golf Course—Randolph Complex

Fall Fair 2011 - Huge Success A heartfelt ―thank you‖ to all of our wonderful Coordi-nating Committee (led by Lori Soehl and Tracy Crac-

generosity, we had record attendance making this

year’s Fair a wonderful event. It is too early to deter-mine the financial gain from this fund raiser; but we

know that a lot of fun was had!

The focus of this annual campaign is to foster respect for life from ―womb to tomb‖. In this spirit, throughout this month we

will be collecting baby items for Reachout Pregnancy Center as

well as items for the elderly residents at Villa Maria Care Cen-ter . Donations for infants can be put in the playpen and items for the elderly in the basket by the walker both of which will be in

the vestibule.

Adult Confirmation Classes coming this Fall

It is our parish’s custom to celebrate Confirmation at the end of January or the beginning of February each

year. In preparation for this, we will be offering a

preparation series in English for adult Catholics (18 years or older) who were baptized and received First

Communion but have not been confirmed. If you haven’t been confirmed, and would like to celebrate

this sacrament, please let Fr. Glenn know of your in-terest (795-1633, Ext. 111 or gnow@stcyril.com). De-

tails will be available in a few weeks.
