Sailendra, the dynasty ruled a kingdom on the island Java. The kings left the Buddhist temple another one of the World’s greatest architectural achievements at Borobudur behind . It has a strong influence on India as well as the Angkor Wat.

The dynasty suddenly fell after being dominated by the Srivijaya. The Srivijayas established the capital Palembang . Palembang soon became a great place for learning.
