During the month of November we remember the importance of praying for the souls of the dead. Please permit me to share with you the prayer of St. Gertrude the great in order to aid us in praying for all the souls in purgatory.

We want everyone to become saints; therefore, we should never forget to pray for their souls, our prayers speed their soul to heaven. Our Lord said to St. Gertrude that each time this prayer is said 1,000 souls will be freed from purgatory. God bless you all!

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most precious blood of Thy Divine Son,

Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in purgatory, for sinners

everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

De Nuestro Administrador

Durante el mes del Noviembre recordamos la importancia de rezar por las almas de todos los difuntos. Dejame compartir esta oración de Santa Gertrudis la grande para ayudarnos cumplir la gran obra de caridad de rezar por todas las almas en el purgatorio.

Quermos que todos se hagan santos; entonces, nunca debemos olivdarnos rezar por sus almas. Nuestras oraciónes tiene el poder para avanzar a las almas al cielo. Nuestro Señor le dijo a Santa Gertrudis la Grande, que esta oración puede librar 1000 almas del purgatorio cada vez que se rece. Que Dios los bendiga.

El grupo Providencia del Arquidiocesis de Nueva York nos han elegido guardar la Imagen Peregrina de La Virgen de La Providencia. La Imagen se va a quedar en

nuestra Iglesia por un año entero. Entonce vamos a dar la bienvenida de la Imagen en el 18 de Noviembre a las 6:pm de la tarde. La imagen vendrá directamente de la Catedral después de la misa en la Catedral y tendremos vísperas Solemne. Por favor

vengan para dar la bienvenida a esta imagen de nuestra Madre Celestial.

THE WELCOMING OF THE PILGRIM IMAGE OF THE VIRGIN OF PROVIDENCE VESPER SOLEMN NOVEMBER 18 AT 6:PM (upper church )

The Providence group of the Archdiocese of New York chose us to keep the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Providence. The Image is going to stay in our

Church for a whole year. Then we are going to welcome the Image on November 18 at 6:pm in the afternoon. The image will come directly from the

Cathedral after Mass in the Cathedral and we will have Solemn Vespers. Please come to welcome this image of our Heavenly Mother.

RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults New Classes forming in St. John Chrisostom Parish for Fall 2018 RCIA is a process for adults

who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith leading to becoming a member of

the Catholic Church. Baptized Catholics who have not yet received the sacraments of Holy

Eucharist and /or Confirmation are welcome to complete their preparation for the sacraments of

initiation through participation in the RCIA process. The sacraments will administered at the

Easter Vigil which is on April 20, 2019. If you are tinerested in becoming a Catholic or

completing your sacraments of initiation please contact

Fr. Richard Marrano or Fr. Amable at 718-542-6164 or pass by

the rectory for an appointment. Classes are available in Spanish and English.

The Fee Is $50 Per Person or $75 Per Couple CLASSES IN ENGLISH EVERY

TUESDAYS AT 7PM IN THE RECTORY.

RICA: Rito de Iniciacion Cristiana para Adultos Estamos en el proceso de formación de clases para el Otoño 2019. RICA es un proceso para

adultos que están interesados en aprender mas acerca de la fe católica para llegar a ser miembro

de la Iglesia Catolica. Catolicos bautizados que no han recibido los sacramentos de Primera

Comunion y La Confirmacion están invitados a competer su preparación para los sacramentos

de Iniciacion a través del proceso de RICA. Los sacramentos serán administrados durante la

Vigilia Pascual el 20 de Abril 2019. Para recibir mas información sobre este proceso favor de
