La perfección al detalleLa mayoría de espejos cosméticos utilizan un cristal curvo decalidad estándar. Es un cristal muy fino, de 2 milímetros de grosor,fabricado a partir de modificar la concavidad de una masa decristal a través de un prensado.

Gracias a esta concavidad se obtienen los aumentos deseados:a mayor radio de curvatura mayor es el aumento. En nuestra gamaestándar utilizamos los aumentos de 2X, 3X y 5X. Pero paraobtener un aumento mayor, como por ejemplo de 7X, el radiode curvatura sería tan grande que no sería viable su utilización ennuestros productos.

Los espejos ópticos, que diferenciamos con el acabado OP trasla referencia, son fabricados usando técnicas idénticas a lasutilizadas para producir lentes de cámaras fotográficas, telescopioso gafas para la visión. La lupa óptica es un cristal más grueso yseguro que el estándar, de hasta aproximadamente 8,5 milímetros,dependiendo del diámetro y del aumento necesario.

A un cristal circular con un grosor uniforme, se le aplican losprocesos necesarios para obtener el radio de curvatura preciso,que proporciona el aumento deseado en la imagen reflejada.

Este radio de curvatura queda oculto para el usuario, ya queinstalado en el interior de las lunas, tan sólo percibirá un espejocon la superficie totalmente lisa.

El concepto es proporcionar una imagen reflejada libre dedistorsión en un 100%, sin defectos.

Perfection in every detailMost cosmetic mirrors use curved crystal which provides anacceptable standard of quality. Thus, a standard mirror is producedusing very fine 2mm-thick crystal.

The magnification can be changed by modifying the concavityof the crystal with a press. The greater the radius, the greater themagnification. In our range of standard mirrors we offer threedifferent magnifications: x2, x3 and x5. For anything greater,such as x7, the radius curve would be too pronounced thereforemaking it unsuitable for this type of product.

Optical mirrors (which have the initials OP after the referencenumber) are, on the other hand, manufactured by employing acompletely different technology. It is the same technology whichis used in the production of camera lenses, telescopes and, ofcourse, the glasses that people wear.

Starting with a piece of circular crystal, which has a uniformthickness, certain processes are applied in order to achieve aprecise curve, which in turn provides the desired magnificationin the reflected image.

The curve is hidden from sight as it is behind the mirror’s totallyflat exterior surface.

In this way we can guarantee that the reflected image iscompletely free of distortion or defects of any kind.

Reflejos luminososLos espejos Windisch se adaptan a la perfección en cada ambien-te. Dependiendo de la lámpara que utilizan, nuestros espejos ofre-cerán una luz más cálida o más fría, con la finalidad de integrarsecon la ambientación de su sala de baño.

1 - Espejos con Luz IncandescenteEstos espejos incorporan bombillas incandescentes, la bombillaestándar de toda la vida. Funcionan por el paso de la corrienteeléctrica a través de un filamento de volframio, que producecalor y luz. Frente a su bajo coste, tiene el inconveniente delcalentamiento elevado que sufre la pantalla tras un largo períodode utilización. Se componen de tres lámparas tubulares del tipoE14 220V 10W.

2 - Espejos con Luz FluorescenteSe caracterizan por incorporar bombillas fluorescentes compactas.Funcionan por el paso de la corriente eléctrica a través de unplasma generado por átomos de mercurio, que rebota contra lasparedes del tubo revestidas de fósforo y provoca la apariciónde luz visible. Dependiendo del fósforo empleado se puedenconseguir diferentes tonalidades de color. Son ideales para su usoen lugares públicos por el poco calor que generan y por su bajoconsumo (Low Energy). Precisan, no obstante, de la instalaciónde una reactancia auxiliar, con lo que se eleva el peso de lapantalla, así como su coste. En estos espejos obtuvimos la marcaGS de seguridad eléctrica, otorgada por el prestigioso organismocertificador alemán TÜV. Se componen de dos lámparas fluores-centes compactas del tipo OSRAM DULUX S 7W/11 860 G23.

3 - Espejos con Luz Micro-LynxUtilizan también bombillas fluorescentes compactas, pero conun nuevo diseño circular y de dimensiones más reducidas. Susprincipios básicos de funcionamiento son idénticos al modelocon luz fluorescente, consiguiendo una alta calidad de ilumina-ción al estar uniformemente repartida por el aro, resultando serel recurso idóneo para la hostelería, por su bajo consumo. Elcoste de la lámpara es ligeramente más elevado (por incorporarnovedades tecnológicas de última generación), aunque consegui-mos reducir el peso de la pantalla ya que funciona sin necesidadde reactancias ni transformadores adicionales. Se componen deuna lámpara fluorescente del tipo MICRO-LYNX-F de Sylvania7W/830 GX53.

1 - Incandescent Light MirrorsThese are characterised by the use of incandescent bulbs. The wolfram filament produces both heat and light as the electrical current passes through it. These are the typical everdaylow-cost bulbs but they do have one small inconvenience: the high temperatures that the bulbs reach can cause damage after long usage. They require three tubular bulbs (E14 220V 10W).

2 - Flourescent Light MirrorsThese use compact flourescent tubes. The electrical current passes through a plasma which is generated by mercury atoms.These atoms rebound off the walls of the tubes, which are coated with phosphorus, and in so doing create light. Not muchheat is generated in this process, and also different tones of lightcan be achieved depending on the type of phosphorus used. The are known as low-energy bulbs and are ideal for use inpublic places. The only inconvenience is that they require a ballastor reactance device to stabilize discharge and current. This increases the overall cost of the appliance and its total weight.These products are marked with the letters GS for electrical-appliance security, which was awarded by the prestigious Germancertification organization TÜV. They require two flourescent tubes(OSRAM DULUX S 7W/11 860 G23).

3 - Micro-Lynx Light MirrorsThese use compact flourescent tubes, but with a new circularspace-saving design. They work in the same way as normal flourescent lights but use even less energy and their circulardesign allows for uniform lighting. They are slightly more expensive than normal flourescent lights (as with all new technological advances) but, as they do not need additional reactance devices or transformers, they are not as heavy. This type of mirror, because of its low energy consumption andhigh quality, is ideal for use in large installations such as in thehotel trade. They require one flourescent tube (MICRO-LYNX-F by Silvania 7W/830 GX53).
