Definition of computer technician

• Computer Technician is a professional who is able to perform system configurations, install the equipment and check the causes of failures in computer programming. This professional can work in companies or providing service on their own.



What does a computer technician?

–Develops computer programs.

–Uses systems development environments, operating systems and database.

–Performs testing programs computed by keeping records to enable analysis and refinement of the results.

–Performs maintenance of computer programs implanted.



Features a computer technician?

• The Computer Technician must be a professional who seeks to be always updated, cooperative, communicative, ethical and confident, acting responsibly, participative and entrepreneurial. You must also provide adaptability and always be open to change in order to achieve projects and innovative actions for the solution of problems presented in the various segments of the area.



OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:• Acquire a theoretical foundation in the field of computer science in order to

understand the practical concepts;

• Knowing the principles of operation of each of the components of a computer;

• Learning the interaction of the components of a computer and which conflicts that can be produced;

• Learning to optimize equipment, extending its useful life so profitable for the company;

• Know the basics of interconnection equipment.

Statistics of computer technicians

• The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that computer technicians made a median salary of about $48,000 in 2011. The job outlook is good, with positions for computer technicians anticipated to increase by 18% between 2010-2020. Computer technicians are needed to help businesses upgrade and repair their systems, along with installing new equipment. According to the BLS, the computer system design industry employs the most computer technicians.

• Since this is one of the professions that one of us (the class) could develop hope you noticed that as we will face the problems and posture mainly that we have to work on.
