What is a Biofilm?
Biofilms are an aggregate of bacteria & other microorganisms inwhich cells are surrounded within a self-produced matrix ofextracellular polymeric substances (EPS) that attach to eachother and/or to a surface.

Is an environmentally friendly, 100% natural, chemical freefertilizer manufactured only with locally sourced ingredients withinSri Lanka.
Technology used in Biofilm T is a Patented Technology
Biofilm T is an innovation by Institute of Fundamental Studies(IFS)after 10 years of research
Tea Research Institute (TRI) has conducted field trails incollaboration with IFS for more than 8 years. The effectiveness ofBiofilm-T has been proven across all tea growing regions in Sri Lanka
This product does not contain any human pathogenic micro-organismsand is free from Heavy metals such as Cd, As, Pb, Hg.

Why you need Due to high usage of conventional chemical fertilizers and weedicides, soil
condition has deteriorated to alarming levels and has become unsuitable forplantations
In some farm lands more than 70% of chemical fertilizer (i.e Urea) leachesto the ground and does not get absorbed to plants when applied
Scientists have established that microbial communities of the soil need to beenhanced to overcome this problem
Use of eco-friendly Biofilm-T will increase the microorganism activity inthe soil and improve the quality of the soil
Continuous usage of Biofilm-T shall generate the lacking synergy betweenplants and microorganisms in the soil, thus leading to higher yields fromplantations

Benefits of using• Reduces chemical fertilizer by 50%
• Increased microbial diversity in the soil will improve natural pest & diseasecontrol
• Increases CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) in soil
• Develops a nutrient pool in the soil (via Phosphorous solubalisation, Potassiumchelating & Nitrogen fixation)
• Promotes plant growth activity by producing growth hormones (i.e Indole aceticacid & Gibberellic acid)
• Increased capability to retain water makes plants more drought resistant
• Provides a high yield continuously throughout the year
• Transforms poorly conditioned soil back to a live & microorganism rich soilAll copy rights reserved

Tea NurseriesMix 700g of T-65 in 100L of water in combination with 25ml of Biofilm-T. Apply the mixture to2,500 plants of the age of 2-3 months. Above application should be carried out once a month for aperiod of 3 months. Thereafter, with the growth of plants, apply the normal dosage of T-65 (i.e1.4kg) along with 25ml of Biofilm – T, once a month for a period of 3 months.
Important Once opened, contents of the bottle should be utilized within 24 hours Shake well before each use Store in a dry cool place. Keep away from direct sunlight

Mature Tea Plants
For application, the soil should be moist Apply exactly half the amount of recommended fertilizer to the area Biofilm-T is going
to be used (i.e for 1 acre75kg of recommended fertilizer) Apply Biofilm-T on the same day or day after, as illustrated below
How to use
Important Once opened, contents of the bottle should be utilized within 24 hours Store in a dry cool place. Keep away from direct sunlight For best results use Biofilm-T at every fertilizing cycle as above
Shake well before each use When using a 16L spray tank, first cleanof any residue and add 2 x bottle lids(50ml) of Biofilm-T and fill tank with
water. Or mix 250ml bottle with 80L ofwater and add to spray tank.
A 16L tank can cover 500 tea plants.
Using the spray tank, spray tothe root area, from plant to
plant
A 250ml bottle is sufficient for ½ acre of land
