Constituida en 1988, NEXTEL es una empresa
de Ingeniería y Consultoría IT especializada en
ciberseguridad, la gestión de servicios de
telecomunicaciones y tecnologías de la
información.
Desde sus inicios, se ha caracterizado por ser
una empresa innovadora y referente en su
ámbito de actividad especialmente en la
CAV, donde fue pionera en la puesta en
marcha de la primera red telemática del País
Vasco.
Hoy en día, NEXTEL es una empresa
consolidada, con un amplio abanico de
servicios y soluciones TIC que dirige a
clientes de ámbito tanto público como
privado.
Así mismo está presente en los principales
mercados estatales, habiendo iniciado su
internacionalización a través de su filial en
México.

En mayo de 2016, dos accionistas salen del capital de
Nextel, reduciéndose a tres el número actual de
accionistas en la empresa y siendo todos ellos socios
trabajadores.
Este hecho, unido a la vocación de NEXTEL por la puesta
en valor de las personas que conforman su equipo, ha
propiciado que la propiedad de la compañía se plantee
abrir el accionariado a la plantilla, de manera que se
pueda reforzar el proyecto empresarial de NEXTEL
mediante la entrada en el capital de trabajadores de la
empresa.
