1.- INTRODUCCION: • Le agradecemos la compra de este Transceptor portátil FM VHF para radioaficionados, estamos convencidos de que quedará altamente complacido con la calidad y prestaciones de este equipo. Este transceptor le ofrecerá una comunicación fiable, clara y eficiente. • Lea detenidamente y de forma completa este manual con el objeto de evitar averías o manipulaciones incorrectas. • El fabricante y/o distribuidor declinan cualquier responsabilidad por daños derivados de un uso inadecuado, incorrecto o imprudente del equipo. • Este equipo se suministra en un embalaje que amortigua los golpes y vibraciones del transporte, garantizando de esta manera un excelente estado en el momento de su adquisición. • Después de retirar el embalaje, verifique que el equipo o sus accesorios no estén dañados. En caso de duda no lo utilice y póngase en contacto con el vendedor o Servicio Técnico. • Es importante remarcar que algunas de las funciones del equipo están explicadas en relación a informaciones dadas en apartados o capítulos anteriores, si usted sólo lee algunas partes concretas de este manual, se arriesgará a no comprender la explicación completa de las funciones de las que dispone el equipo. • Asegúrese de entender correctamente todas las indicaciones de este manual. • Preste mucha atención a las notas incluidas en los recuadros sombreados de los apartados. • Guarde este manual para futuras consultas. • Las reparaciones o ajustes internos del equipo siempre se deben de realizar en un Servicio Técnico Autorizado. • Cualquier manipulación interna, alteración o cambio de las características del equipo efectuadas por personal ajeno al Servicio Técnico, invalida la garantía. • Este equipo ha salido de los almacenes del distribuidor en condiciones técnicas de utilización adaptadas a la legislación vigente del país de utilización del transceptor. Cambiar dichas características, realizar ajustes internos o modificaciones no autorizadas pueden llevar a un uso ilegal del equipo constituyendo una infracción legalmente perseguible así como provocar interferencias que pueden perjudicar a otras comunicaciones legalmente establecidas. • Verifique que el equipo esté programado correctamente, ajustándose a los requisitos exigibles en el país de uso. • Si se utiliza este transceptor de comunicaciones sin tener la licencia necesaria, se infringe la legislación vigente y se incurre en responsabilidades de tipo legal. En tal caso, debe consultar a la autoridad de Telecomunicaciones o su vendedor para informarse de las obligaciones ante el uso del mismo. Este equipo requiere de licencia o autorización administrativa para su uso y está destinado para utilizarse en los siguientes países de la Unión Europea.

2.- MANTENIMIENTO Y PRECAUCIONES DE SEGURIDAD: • Apague este transceptor en áreas donde su uso esté prohibido. • No exponga el equipo o el cargador de baterías a la luz directa del sol de manera prolongada o cerca de una fuente de calor (estufas, radiadores, etc.). • No exponga el equipo o el cargador de baterías al exceso de polvo, humedad, a explosivos u otro tipo de condiciones peligrosas. • No coloque el transceptor o el cargador de baterías sobre una superficie inestable. • Si el transceptor emite humo u olor a quemado, apáguelo, retire la batería y contacte lo antes posible con el Servicio Técnico. • Consulte siempre al personal del Servicio Técnico para cualquier reparación. • Utilice este equipo únicamente para el fin que éste ha sido fabricado. El fabricante y el distribuidor no aceptarán ninguna responsabilidad y la garantía carecerá de validez en caso de uso inadecuado o incumplimiento de las instrucciones. • Conectar correctamente la batería, la antena y los accesorios (opcionales) según las indicaciones dadas en este manual. • Utilice solamente el cargador de baterías suministrado con el transceptor. • No utilice este transceptor sin una antena adecuada. • Si utiliza un auricular externo (opcional), reduzca al máximo posible el nivel de volumen de audio, evite niveles de audio muy altos. • Si el transceptor causara interferencias en reproductores de audio y video, receptores de radio y televisión, o a cualquier otro tipo de aparato, aléjelo del aparato en cuestión. • No utilice ni manipule el equipo cuando esté conduciendo un vehículo, utilice sistemas de manos libres y respete las normas que indica la Dirección General de Trafico. • No sustituya y no cargue la batería en lugares con riesgo de incendio o explosión. • Limpiar el equipo estando apagado y con un paño antiestático (preferiblemente) o un paño húmedo (no mojado). • Limpiar el cargador de baterías estando desconectado de la red eléctrica y con un paño antiestático preferiblemente. • No pulverizar con ningún líquido o producto directamente sobre el equipo, batería o su cargador de baterías y no utilizar nunca para su limpieza productos de pulimento para el hogar, detergentes, alcohol o disolventes. • No utilizar para la limpieza un paño seco, podría causar choque estático. • El uso de accesorios no originales o incompatibles con el equipo podrían limitar su rendimiento, e incluso provocar una avería invalidando la garantía. • Riesgo de explosión si reemplaza la batería por una incompatible. • Como norma general de seguridad, los niños no deben de manipular ningún tipo de aparato eléctrico. • Los materiales de embalaje (bolsas de plástico, etc.), no deben dejarse al alcance de los niños, ya que son una potencial fuente de peligro. 3.- DESEMBALADO Y COMPROBACION DE LOS ARTICULOS: Desembale cuidadosamente el transceptor. Le recomendamos que en primer lugar identifique los artículos enumerados en la siguiente tabla. Si faltara algún artículo o estuviera dañado, póngase en contacto con su distribuidor o vendedor.

4.- PREPARATIVOS INICIALES: 4.1.- CARGA DE LA BATERIA: 1.- Cargador de baterías con cable de alimentación incorporado: Conecte el cargador de baterías de sobremesa a un enchufe cercano y fácilmente accesible de 100-240Vca, 50/60 Hz. El led del cargador se iluminará en verde. Cargador de baterías con alimentador AC/DC: Conecte el alimentador AC/DC al cargador de baterías de sobremesa y conecte el alimentador a un enchufe cercano y de fácil acceso de 100-240 Vca, 50/60 Hz. El led del cargador se ilumina en verde. 2.- Introduzca la batería o el transceptor con su batería instalada, en el cargador. Asegurese de que los contactos de la batería coinciden con los terminales de carga del cargador. 3.- El led del cargador se iluminará en rojo, indicando que la carga de la batería se ha iniciado. El tiempo necesario para cargar la batería dependerá de la capacidad de la misma. Cuando el led indicador se vuelva a iluminar en color verde, la carga habrá finalizado. Notas: - Si la batería está completamente cargada, no la cargue más; al sobrecargar la batería se disminuye su vida útil y además puede resultar dañada. - Después de haber adquirido el aparato o haberlo almacenado durante un tiempo prolongado (más de 2 meses), la batería no podrá alcanzar su capacidad máxima en su primera carga. Después de repetir el ciclo de carga/descarga 2 o 3 veces, la batería alcanzará su capacidad máxima. - Una vez finalizada la carga de la batería, retire la batería del receptáculo de carga del cargador de sobremesa y desconecte el cargador del enchufe de 230 Vca. - El dispositivo de desconexión del cargador de baterías es su enchufe de alimentación o el alimentador AC/DC.

4.2.- INSTALAR/RETIRAR LA BATERIA: - Para instalar la batería, coloque la batería en la parte trasera del transceptor y deslice la batería hasta que quede bloqueada con el pestillo de retención (figura 1). - Para retirar la batería, pulse el pestillo de retención (1) para desbloquear la batería y una vez desbloqueada, retírela (figura 2).

Notas: - No cortocircuite los terminales de la batería. - No tire la batería al fuego. - No desarme la cargasa de la batría.

4.3.- INSTALACION DE LA ANTENA: Coloque la antena en el conector de la parte superior del transceptor, para ello, coja la antena por la base y gírela en sentido horario hasta que la antena quede correctamente fijada (figura 3). 4.4.- INSTALAR/RETIRAR LA PINZA PARA EL CINTURON: Coloque la pinza para el cinturón en la parte trasera del transceptor y fíjela con los dos tornillos. Para retirar la pinza, desatornille los dos tornillos y retírela (figura 4). 4.5.- INSTALACION DE UN MICROAURICULAR (OPCIONAL): Retire la tapa de goma (marcada como “SP/MIC”) e inserte el microauricular en el conector (figura 5). Notas: - Para asegurar una alta calidad de audio, utilice un microauricular del mismo fabricante. - Asegurese de que el microauricular está conectado correctamente. - Cuanto utilice un microauricular, no ajuste niveles de audio elevados.

5.- PARTES, MANDOS Y CONECTORES:

• Mando selector de canales: Girar este mando para seleccionar el canal deseado. • Led indicador de estado: Verde al recibir y rojo al transmitir. • Mando [POWER/VOL]: Mando de encendido/apagado y ajuste de volumen: Para encender el

transceptor gire este mando en sentido horario; para apagarlo, gírelo en sentido anti-horario hasta escuchar un “click”. Gire el mando para regular el volumen.

• [PTT]: Pulse y mantener pulsado para transmitir y suéltelo para recibir. • Tecla [MONI]: Pulsándola durante medio segundo, se activará la iluminación de teclado y de la

pantalla. Pulsándola durante un segundo, se abrirá el “squelch” y al soltarla se cerrará. • Tecla [ALARMA]: En una situación de emergencia, pulse esta tecla durante 2 segundos para

activar la función SOS. • Conector “SP/MIC”: Coloque la tapa de goma si el microauricular no está instalado.

Teclado:

• Teclas numéricas: Se utiliza para introducir números y seleccionar funciones. • Tecla [FUN]: Su función es guardar diferentes parámetros y acceso directo a los menús. • Tecla [VFO]: Selección entre modo frecuencia + canal, modo canal, o función de borrado.

5.1.- PANTALLA LCD:

6.- FUNCIONAMIENTO: 6.1.- ENCENDER/APAGAR EL TRANSCEPTOR: Encienda el transceptor girando el mando [POWER/VOL] en sentido horario hasta escuchar un “click”; el transceptor estará en “standby”, y el LED indicador de estado parpadeará una vez en naranja y se apagará. Para apagar el transceptor gire el mando [POWER/VOL] en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta el tope. 6.2.- AJUSTE DEL VOLUMEN: Para incrementar el volumen gire el mando de [POWER/VOL] en sentido horario o bien en sentido anti-horario para disminuirlo.

6.3.- MANDO SELECTOR DE CANALES: Utilice este mando para seleccionar el canal deseado. 6.4.- PTT: Para realizar una llamada, mantenga pulsado el [PTT], y hable dirigiéndose al micrófono con un tono de voz normal y clara. Nota: - Mantenga la boca separada del micrófono a una distancia de entre 3 y 5cm.

6.5.- AJUSTE DEL “SQUELCH”: Cuando el “squelch” esté activado o cerrado, no escuchará ruido de fondo. Cuando ajusta un nivel de “squelch” elevado, sólo podrá escuchar las señales más fuertes y no recibirá aquellas señales que sean débiles. Si el nivel ajustado es bajo, recibirá fácilmente cualquier señal, pero puede recibir también algún tipo de ruido de fondo. 6.6.- TRANSMITIR: Pulse la tecla [MONI] para comprobar y confirmar que el canal que haya seleccionado está libre. Pulse el [PTT] para hablar. 1.- Mantenga la boca a una distancia de 3 a 5cm del micrófono, y hable en tono normal de voz. 2.- Pulse el [PTT], el indicador led indicador de estado se iluminará en rojo. 3.- Suelte el [PTT] para recibir. 6.7.- RECIBIR: Cuando reciba una comunicación, el led indicador de estado se iluminará en verde. Si ajusta el “squelch” en un nivel elevado, puede que no reciba la comunicación. Cuando el transceptor utilice códigos “DCS” y subtonos “CTCSS”, solo podrá recibir señales con los mismos códigos “DCS” y subtonos “CTCSS” que los programados en su transceptor. 6.8.- SELECCIONAR LA VISUALIZACION DE LA PANTALLA: Hay disponibles 3 modos de visualización: Modo canal, modo de pantalla completa y modo frecuencia + canal. 1.- Manteniendo pulsada la tecla [FUN], encienda el aparato, podrá alternar entre el modo canal y el modo frecuencia.

2.- Estando en modo frecuencia, pulse la tecla [VFO] para alternar entre el modo de pantalla completa y el modo frecuencia + canal. 6.9.- SELECCIONAR UN CANAL: Esta función está disponible en el modo canal y en el modo frecuencia + canal. Pulse la tecla [UP] para subir canales; pulse la tecla [DOWN] para bajar canales, o bien introduzca el número del canal mediante el teclado numérico. Si el “Beep” del teclado está activado, cuando seleccione los canales, se le indicará el canal seleccionado mediante mensaje de voz. 6.10.- SELECCIONAR UNA FRECUENCIA: Esta función estará disponible en el modo de pantalla completa. Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] para seleccionar la frecuencia deseada. Pulse la tecla [DOWN] para disminuir la frecuencia; pulse la tecla [UP] para incrementar la frecuencia. Nota: - Antes de fijar la frecuencia, deberá programar primeramente los saltos/pasos de frecuencia. Consulte el apartado 7.20 de este manual.

En modo de pantalla completa, puede introducir las frecuencias directamente a través del teclado numérico. Pulse la tecla [VFO] para borrar los números erróneos. 6.11.- TIPO DE ESCANEADO: Esta función definirá como se llevará a cabo el escaneado. Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] para seleccionar “SCA 08”, pulse el [PTT] para acceder al modo de escaneado. Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] para seleccionar el tipo de escaneado. Los modos disponibles son “TO”, “CO”, “SE”. Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar el ajuste y regresar al menú principal. Si pulsa la tecla [VFO], no se guardará ningún cambio y se saldrá al menú principal (Ajuste original: “TO”). TO: El escaneado se detiene cuando el transceptor detecta una frecuencia activa o canal ocupado, y se reanudará automáticamente pasados 5 segundos, sin importar si la señal está presente o no. CO: El escaneado se detendrá cuando se detecta una frecuencia activa o canal ocupado hasta que desaparezca la señal, hay un intervalo de 5 segundos hasta que el transceptor reanuda el escaneado. SE: El escaneado se detendrá en un canal ocupado o frecuencia activa y se desactivará el escaneado. Escaneado de canales: Esta función de escaneado está disponible en los modos canal y frecuencia + canal. Esta función es para monitorizar una señal programada para el canal. Cuando esté escaneando, el transceptor monitorizará la señal de cada canal, y pausara el escaneado en aquellos canales en los que se detecte alguna señal.

Notas: - El transceptor deberá tener al menos 2 canales programados para que el escaneado de canales funcione. Además la función “squelch” deberá estar desactivada.

1.- Para que el escaneado comience, pulse la tecla [FUN] y a continuación pulse la tecla [0Scan]. 2.- El escaneado comenzará por el canal actual, siguiendo un sentido ascendente. 3.- Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o gire el mando de selección de canal para ajustar la dirección del escaneado. 4.- Pulse cualquier tecla excepto las teclas [MONI] / [ALARM] para desactivar el escaneado y regresar al canal. Pulsando la tecla [MONI], el transceptor operará en el canal actual, al soltar la tecla se reanudará el escaneado. Cuando se detecte un canal activo, se pausará el escaneado durante 5 segundos y después se reanudara. Escaneado de frecuencias: Esta función está disponible en los modos de escaneado de banda completa y de frecuencia. Cuando se esté escaneando, el transceptor detectará cada salto de frecuencia, el transceptor pausará el escaneado en los canales en los que detecte alguna señal. En el modo de escaneado de banda completa el transceptor operará de acuerdo a los saltos de frecuencia que haya programado. Para más detalles consulte el apartado que trata la selección de los saltos de frecuencia. Cuando el rango de escaneado de frecuencia es más amplio que el rango de frecuencias de funcionamiento del transceptor, el transceptor ajustara el rango desde la frecuencia más baja y comenzará el escaneado en función del salto establecido. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN], a continuación pulse la tecla [0Scan], el escaneado comenzará. 2.- El escaneado comenzará desde la frecuencia actual siguiendo un sentido ascendente por saltos. 3.- Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] para definir la dirección del escaneado. 4.- Pulse cualquier tecla excepto las teclas [MONI] / [ALARM] para desactivar el escaneado y regresar a la frecuencia. El transceptor trabajará en la frecuencia actual, y saldrá del escaneado. Si pulsa la tecla [MONI], el transceptor operará en la frecuencia actual; al soltar la tecla se reanudará el escaneado. Cuando se detecte una frecuencia activa, el escaneado se pausará durante 5 segundos y después se reanudará. 6.12.- MEMORIZAR: 1.- El transceptor deberá estar en el modo de pantalla completa. 2.- Introduzca la frecuencia deseada. 3.- Este procedimiento solo será necesario para programar la frecuencia del “Offset”: Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o bien utilice el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 16 (dirección del desplazamiento de frecuencia), acceda al menú pulsando el [PTT]. Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canal hasta visualizar el menú 17 (ajuste de la frecuencia de “Offset”), acceda al ajuste pulsando el [PTT], introduzca la

frecuencia “xx.xxxx MHz”, después pulse el [PTT] para confirmar (ésta será la frecuencia de transmisión). Pulse la tecla [FUN] para memorizar el parámetro y salir de este menú. 4.- Este procedimiento solo será necesario para el ajuste de códigos “DCS” y subtonos “CTCSS”: Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando de selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 18 (ajuste de subtonos “CTCSS” o códigos “DCS” para recepción), pulse las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando de selector de canales para seleccionar el código/subtono requerido, pulse la tecla [MONI] para alternar entre modo “DCS” y “CTCSS”, y pulse la tecla [FUN] para confirmar la selección. Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 19 (ajustes de subtonos “CTCSS” o códigos “DCS” para transmisión), utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar el código o subtono requerido, pulse la tecla [MONI] para alternar entre el modo “DCS” y “CTCSS”, pulse la tecla [FUN] para cambiar el código “DCS” normal o invertido, pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y pulse la tecla [FUN] para salir. 5.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] y [VFO], el canal parpadeará, introduzca el canal requerido a través del teclado numérico, pulse la tecla [VFO] para confirmar, después pulse la tecla [VFO] para cambiar al canal introducido, la operación habrá concluido. 6.- Eliminar un canal memorizado: En modo frecuencia + canal, seleccione un canal memorizado (desbloqueado). Pulse la tecla [VFO] durante 2 segundos, en la pantalla se mostrará el mensaje “DEL--?”, a continuación pulse el [PTT] y el canal será borrado. 6.13.- RESET: Manteniendo pulsada la tecla [VFO], encienda el transceptor, en la pantalla se mostrará un mensaje “RESET?”, pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y el transceptor volverá a sus ajustes de fabrica. 6.14.- NIVEL DE CARGA DE LA BATERIA: Cuando la tensión de la batería sea inferior al dato fijado, el LED indicador de estado parpadeará en rojo y le alertará con un “Beep”. La pantalla mostrará el mensaje “BAT LOW” (batería baja), y no podrá transmitir más. Apague el transceptor para cambiar la batería o cárguela. Si no cambia o carga la batería, el transceptor se autoapagará. 6.15.- ALARMA: Cuando se encuentre en un estado de emergencia, pulse la tecla [ALARMA] durante 2 segundos, se activará la función de alarma remota, y todo el grupo será alarmado; pulse la tecla de nuevo para detener la alarma.

6.16.- CLONADO: Sin necesidad de otro aparato, puede clonar los datos de un transceptor a otro mediante un cable. Conecte los dos transceptores con el cable de clonado. Pulse la tecla [MONI] en el transceptor fuente mientras le enciende, en la pantalla se mostrará el mensaje “CLONE”, seguidamente encienda el transceptor destino. Pulse la tecla [MONI] de nuevo en el transceptor fuente, en la pantalla se mostrará el mensaje “CLONE” y el led indicador de estado se iluminará en rojo, el clonado ha comenzado. Si el clonado falla, en la pantalla se mostrará el mensaje “ERROR”. Si el clonado finaliza correctamente, se mostrará en la pantalla el mensaje “—END—”, y regresará al estado de espera de clonado. Pulse cualquier tecla para salir del clonado. 6.17.- BLOQUEO DEL TECLADO: Esta función es para prevenir un uso no intencionado del transceptor. Para bloquear el teclado: Pulse la tecla [FUN] durante 2 segundos, el transceptor emitirá un sonido indicando que se han

bloqueado las teclas y a su vez la pantalla mostrará el icono “ ”. Para desbloquear el teclado: Pulse la tecla [FUN] durante 2 segundos, la radio emitirá un sonido indicando que se han desbloqueado las teclas y el icono antes mencionado desaparecerá de la pantalla. 7.- MENUS DE AJUSTE: 7.1.- FUNCION “VOI”: 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN], a continuación utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 1, en la pantalla se mostrará “VOI 01?” 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “CH”, “EN” o “OFF” (Chino, Inglés o Desactivado). 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar el ajuste de la función “VOI” (mensaje de voz) y regresar al menú principal. Pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal. 7.2.- POTENCIA ALTA (H)/BAJA (L): Con una potencia alta se consumirá más energía, por lo tanto para una cobertura pequeña de comunicación escoja la potencia baja, pero si necesita una cobertura más amplia, seleccione la potencia alta. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú principal, seguidamente utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 2, en la pantalla se mostrará “POW 02?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “H” (potencia alta) o “L” (potencia baja), seguidamente pulse el [PTT] para confirmar los ajustes y regresar al menú principal. Pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: “H”). 7.3.- SQUELCH: 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 3, en la pantalla se mostrará “SQL 03?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar el nivel de Squelch “0-9”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar los ajustes y volver al menú principal. Pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: “4”). 7.4.- FUNCION “VOX”: Si la función “VOX” está activada, cuando hable en un volumen superior al nivel fijado, el transceptor empezará a transmitir; cuando hable en un volumen inferior al nivel fijado, y transcurran 2 segundos, el transceptor regresará al estado de recepción. Tanto la transmisión como la recepción estarán automatizadas, por lo tanto cuando el volumen de los sonidos sea alto, la sensibilidad del “VOX” deberá ser configurada en un nivel alto para evitar que se produzcan transmisiones no deseadas. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 4, en la pantalla se mostrará “VOX 04?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar el nivel deseado “OFF, 0-9” de la función “VOX”. 3. Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal. mostrará el icono “ ”, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: ON). 7.6.- AHORRO DE BATERIA: Esta función ayuda a que el transceptor consuma menos energía cuando se encuentre en “standby”. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para acceder al menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 6, en la pantalla se mostrará “SAV 06?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “OFF” o “ON”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: ON).

7.7.- TEMPORIZADOR DE TRANSMISION (TOT): La función “TOT” se utiliza para prevenir que se utilice un mismo canal por un largo periodo de tiempo. Si la transmisión excede el tiempo prestablecido, el transceptor dejará de transmitir y le avisará mediante un sonido de alerta. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 7, en la pantalla se mostrará “TOT 07?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “OFF”, “60 segundos”, “120 segundos”, “180 segundos”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: 60 segundos). 7.8.- AJUSTES DE LOS TIPOS DE ESCANEADO: 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 8, en la pantalla se mostrará “SCA 08?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “TO”, “SE”, “CO”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: TO). 7.9.- BLOQUEO DEL TECLADO (KY): Esta función es para ayudar a prevenir cualquier uso accidental del transceptor. Hay dos modos para bloquear el teclado: modo manual y automático. Modo manual: 1. Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 9, en la pantalla se mostrará “KY 09?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “MANU”, “AUTO”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: MANU). 7.10.- FUNCION RADIO FM Y MONITORIZAR (DW): Si la función de radio FM esta activada, cuando se reciba una señal, la radio FM se detendrá y será cambiada al modo de recepción de señal. Pasados 5 segundos, la radio FM se autoreanudará. Si esta función “Monitorizar” esta desactivada y la radio FM está encendida, las señales procedentes de otros transceptores no se recibirán. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 10, en la pantalla se mostrará “DW 10?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “ON”.

Cuando se apague se emitirá una alerta sonora y en la pantalla se mostrará parpadeando “POWER OFF”. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 11, en la pantalla se mostrará “APO 11?”. 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “OFF”, “30 segundos”, “60 segundos”, “120 segundos”, “240 segundos”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: OFF). 7.12.- ILUMINACION: Pulse brevemente la tecla [MONI] y la pantalla y el teclado se iluminaran. Transcurridos 5 segundos, sin realizar ninguna operación en el transceptor, la iluminación se apagará automáticamente. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 12, en la pantalla se mostrará “LED 12?” 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “ON” o “OFF”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: ON). 7.13.- BLOQUEO DE CANAL OCUPADO (BCL): Función disponible únicamente en el modo de banda completa. Si la función “BCL” está activada, cuando el led indicador de estado esta iluminado en verde y se esta recibiendo una señal, al pulsar el [PTT] no se podrá transmitir. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 13, en la pantalla se mostrará “BCL 13?” 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “ON” o “OFF”. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: OFF). 7.14.- BANDA ANCHA/ESTRECHA (W/N): Función disponible únicamente en el modo de banda completa. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 14, en la pantalla se mostrará “W/N 14?” 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar “W”o “N”.

Cuando haya seleccionado un código “DCS” para transmisión, en la pantalla se mostrará el icono “DCS”. 7.20.- SELECCIONAR LOS SALTOS DE FRECUENCIA: Cuando pulse las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o gire el mando selector de canales, los canales aumentarán o disminuirán de acuerdo con los saltos de frecuencia preestablecidos. 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] para entrar en el menú principal, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales hasta visualizar el menú 20, en la pantalla se mostrará “SFT 20?” 2.- Pulse el [PTT] para entrar en el menú, utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para seleccionar 5, 10, 6.25, 12.5 y 25 kHz. 3.- Pulse el [PTT] para confirmar y regresar al menú principal, pulse la tecla [FUN] para guardar los cambios y salir del menú principal (el ajuste original es: 25 kHz). 7.21.- FUNCION RADIO FM: 1.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] y [MONI], la función de Radio FM se activará, en la pantalla se mostrará la frecuencia de la emisora de radio actual. El volumen puede ser ajustado con el mando de encendido y control de volumen. 2.- Utilice las teclas [UP] / [DOWN] o el mando selector de canales para cambiar a otra frecuencia de emisora de radio, o introdúzcala directamente a través del teclado numérico (rango de frecuencia: 80.00-107.95 MHz). 3.- Pulse la tecla [FUN] y seguidamente la tecla [MONI] para desactivar la función de Radio FM. 7.22.- ALMACENAR EMISORAS DE RADIO FM: 1.- En modo radio FM, seleccione la frecuencia de la emisora de radio deseada. 2.- Pulse la tecla [FUN], a continuación seleccione un numero de canal mediante el teclado numérico (del 0-9, un total de 10 canales) para guardarla. 3.- En modo frecuencia, pulsar la tecla [VFO] para cambiar al modo frecuencia completa y al modo frecuencia + canal.

10.- SOLUCION DE PROBLEMAS: Antes de suponer que su transceptor está averiado, realice las comprobaciones descritas en la tabla siguiente. Si el problema persiste, puede resetear el transceptor ya que en ocasiones el reset soluciona el problema.

Problema Causa/Posible solución El transceptor no se enciende cuando se actúa sobre el mando de encendido.

- La batería está descargada. Sustituya la batería gastada por una totalmente cargada o proceda a la carga de la batería. - La batería no se ha instalado en el transceptor correctamente. Retire y vuelva a colocar la batería en el transceptor.

La batería se descarga rápidamente.

- La batería ha llegado al final de su vida útil. Reemplace la batería por una nueva de las mismas características que la suministrada con el transceptor.

No puede hablar o comunicarse con los demás miembros de su grupo.

- Asegurese de que utiliza los mismos subtonos “CTCSS” o códigos “DCS” que los programados en los demás transceptores de los miembros de su grupo. - Los demás miembros de su grupo se encuentran demasiado lejos. Asegurese de que se encuentra dentro del rango de cobertura de los otros transceptores.

Conversaciones de otro grupo de usuarios interfieren las comunicaciones de su grupo.

- Cambie los subtonos “CTCSS” o los códigos “DCS” de su grupo. Asegurese de que se cambian los subtonos “CTCSS” o códigos “DCS” en todos los transceptores de su grupo de usuarios.

Una vez realizadas estas comprobaciones, si el transceptor sigue sin funcionar correctamente, contacte con el Servicio Técnico Autorizado.

This transceiver offers a reliable, clear and efficient communication. • Read this manual completely in order to avoid damage to the euipment or incorrect use. • The manufacturer and/or distributor decline any esponsibility for damages derived through the inadequate, incorrect or imprudent use of t is equipment. • This equipment is supplied in a packaging that absorbs shock and vibration of transport, thus ensuring excellent condition at the time of acquisition. • After removing the product from the packaging, please ensure that none of the contents are damaged. 2.- MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: • Never use this transceiver in places where the use of radio equipment is prohibited. • Don´t place the transceiver and the battery charger to direct sunlight for prolonged periods or near off a heat devices (heater, radiators, etc.). • Don´t expose the battery charger or the transceiver to the excessive dust, humidity, explosive or other hazardous conditions. • Don´t place this transceiver or their battery charger on an unstable or vibrating surface. • If the transceiver emits smoke or burning smell, turn it off, remove the battery pack and contact with the Technical Service. • Always consult Technical Service for any repairs. • Use this equipment only for the purpose it was manufactured. 4.- GETTING STARTED: 4.1.- CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK: 1.- Battery charger with cord: Inser the plug of the desktop battery charger into a nearby and easily accesible 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz wall outlet. The led indicator will illuminates in green color. Battery charger with AC/DC adapor: Inser the jackt of the AC/DC adaptor to the desktop battery charger and connect the AC/DC adaptor into a nearby and easily accesible 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz wall outlet. The led indicator will illuminates in green color. 2.- Insert the battery pack or the transceiver with the battery pack attached into the charging station. Make sure that the battery pack terminals are in contact with the desktop battery charger terminals. 3.- The LED of the the battery charger turns red and charging begins. Charging time is in function on the battery pack capacity. When LED turns green the charging process is finished.

Notes: - If the battery pack charging is full, don´t charge it more; overcharging will shorten the battery life or damage it. - When the battery pack charge is performed with the battery installed into the transceiver, ensure that the transceiver is OFF. - After purchasing the transceiver or extended storage (more than 2 months), the battery pack cannot reach its maximum capacity for the first time recharging. After repeating the charging/discharging the battery pack two or three times, the capacity of the battery pack will reach its best status. - Once the battery pack is fully charge, remove the battery pack from the battery charger and unplug the battery charger to the 230 VAC wall outlet. - The disconnection device of the battery charger is the AC/DC adaptor or the plug of the desktop battery charger.

4.2.- INSTALLING/REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK: - To install the battery pack, put the top side of the battery pack to the back of the transceiver and press the battery pack to the transceiver until the release latch on the bottom of the transceiver locks (figure 1). - To remove the battery pack, press the release latch and take the battery pack out from the transceiver (figure 2).

4.3.- INSTALLING THE ANTENNA: Srew the antenna into the connector on the top of the transceiver by holding the antenna at its base and turn clockwise until secure (See figure 3).

4.4.- INSTALLING/REMOVING THE BELT CLIP: Install the belt clip to the back of the transceiver by two screws. To remove the belt clip, unscrew then take out the belt clip away from the transceiver (figure 4). 4.5.- INSTALLING THE HEADSET (OPTIONAL): Remove the rubber cover (marked with SP/MIC) and insert the headset plugs into the SP/MIC jack (figure 5). Notes: - To be sure high quality audio, use a headset of the same manufacturer that the transceiver. - Be sure that the headset are securelly installing. - When a headset is used, be sure of not setting high very audio levels.

5.- GETTING STARTED:

• Channel knob: Rotate this knob to select frequencies or channels. • Status LED indicator: Lights green while receiving a signal and red while transmitting. • [POWER/VOL] knob: Rotate this knob clockwise to switch ON the transceiver. To switch

OFF, turn counterclockwise until a click sounds. Rotate this knob to adjust the volume level. • [PTT] key: Press and hold the [PTT] key to transmit and release to receive. • [MONI] key: Press and hold for 0.5 seconds to activate the backlight of keypad and display.

Press and hold for 1 second to open the squelch, release this key to close the squelch function. • [ALARM] key: When emergency happen, press this key for 2 seconds to start the SOS

function. • “SP/MIC” jacks: Install the ruber cover if the headset are not used.

6.- OPERATION: 6.1.- POWER ON/OFF: Switch ON the transceiver by turning the [POWER/VOL] knob clockwise until a click heard, then the transceiver will be in standby mode and the status LED indicator will orange flashed once and turn OFF. To turn OFF the transceiver, rotate the [POWER/VOL] knob full counterclockwise. 6.2.- VOLUME ADJUST: Rotate the [POWER/VOL] knob counterclockwise to increase the volume and rotate anti-clockwise to decrease it. 6.3.- CHANNEL SELECTION: Turn this control for select the channel. 6.4.- PTT: To make a call, press and hold the [PTT] key, then speak into the microphone at your normal voice. Note: - Keep your mounth 3-5 cm away from microphone distance.

6.5.- SQUELCH SETTING: When the squelch function is OFF, you will not hear background noise; if it has been switched on, when the sensitivity level is high, you will not receive weak signals; when the level is low, you will receive signals easily, but you may receive other background noises.

6.6.- TRANSMITTING: Press [MONI] key to check and confirm that the channel you selected is available. Press [PTT] key to talk. 1.- Keep your mouth away from the microphone 3 cm - 5 cm, and talk with a normal voice. 2.- Press [PTT] key and the LED status indicator will light red. 3.- Release [PTT] key to receive. 6.7.- RECEIVING: When you receive a communication, the LED status indicator will light green. If you set the squelch sensitivity level with a low level and a weak signal, you may not receive the communication. When the transceiver has been set to encode the signal with CTCSS or DCS, you will only able to receive signals with the same encode settings. 6.8.- LCD MODE DISPLAY SELECTION: There are 3 display modes available: Channel mode, Full display mode and Frequency+Channel mode. 1.- Holding the [FUN] key, turn on the transceiver, you can shift Channel mode and Frequency mode. 2.- In Frequency mode, press [VFO] key to switch the display mode between "Full display mode" and "Frequency+Channel mode". 6.9.- CHANNEL SELECTION: This function is only available in Channel mode and Frequency + Channel mode. Press [UP] key to up channels; press [DOWN] key to down channels, or input the channel number from keypad directly. If the Beep sound function is on, when you select the channels, the transceiver will indicate the selected channel by voice message. 6.10.- FREQUENCY SELECTION: This feature is available in full screen mode. Use the [UP] / [DOWN] key to select the desired frequency. Press the [DOWN] key to decrease the frequency; press the [UP] key to increase the frequency. Note: - Before setting the frequency, you must set before the channel spacing. See channel spacing settings.

In full screen mode, you can enter frequencies directly via the numeric keypad. Press [VFO] key to erase wrong numbers. 6.11.- SCAN MODE: This function will define the scanning mode. Press [FUN] key to enter main menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] keys to select “SCA08”, press [PTT] key to enter scan mode. Press [UP] / [DOWN] keys to select the scan mode. There are three scan modes available: TO, CO and

SE. Press [PTT] key to confirm changes and return to the main menu. If you press [VFO] key, the changes will not be saved and the transceptor will return to the main menu (Default setting: “TO”). TO: It will stop scanning when the transceiver receives a signal or an active frequency, and it will resume automatically after 5 seconds regardless if the signal is present or not. CO: It will stop scanning when the transceiver receives a signal or a active frequency until the signal disappears, there is an interval of 5 seconds until the radio resumes scanning. SE: It stop scanning on a busy channel or active frequency and exits the scan mode. Channel scanning: This scan mode is available in Channel mode and Frequency + Channel mode. This feature is to monitor a programmed signal for the channel. When scanning, the transceiver will monitor the signal of each channel, and will pause scanning at those channels in which a signal is detected. Note: - The transceiver should have at least 2 programmed channels for channel scanning function. Besides the Squelch feature must be disabled.

1.- To activate the scan, press [FUN] key and then, press [0Scan] key. 2.- The scan will start by the current channel, following an upward direction. 3.- Press [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob to change the scan direction. 4.- Press any key except [MONI] / [ALARM] key to stop scanning and return to the channel. Pressing [MONI] key, the transceiver will operate in the current channel, when release [MONI] key, scan will resume. When scanning, the transceiver will pause scanning at those channels in which a signal is detected, there is an interval of 5 seconds until the radio resumes scanning. Frequency scanning: Under Full Band Mode, frequency scanning is available. When scanning, the transceiver will detect each frequency step, and it will pauses at the frequency that it detects a signal. The Full Band Scan mode the transceiver will operate in accordance with the programed frequency steps. For details, see the section dealing with the selection of frequency steps. When the frequency scanning range is wider than the operating frequency range of the transceiver, the transceiver adjust the range from the lowest frequency and start scanning according to the programmed steps. 1.- Press [FUN] key, then press [0Scan] key and the scan will start. 2.- Scanning starts from the current frequency following an upward direction by steps. 3.- Press [UP] / [DOWN] keys to switch the scan direction. 4.- Press any key except [MONI] / [ALARM] key to stop scanning and return to the frequency. Pressing [MONI] key, the transceiver will operate in the current frequency, when release [MONI] key, scan will resume. When scanning, the transceiver will pause scanning at those channels in which a signal is detected, there is an interval of 5 seconds until the radio resumes scanning.

6.12.- SAVE: 1.- The transceiver should be in full screen mode. 2.- Input the desired frequency. 3.- This procedure is only necessary to set the frequency of the "Offset": Press the [FUN] key to access the menu, use [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob until display the menu 16 (frequency shift direction), access the menu by pressing the [PTT]. Use the [UP] key / [DOWN] or or turn the channel knob until display the menu 17 (offset frequency setting), access the settings by pressing [PTT], input the frequency "xx.xxxx MHz”, then, press the [PTT] to confirm (this will be the transmission frequency). Press the [FUN] button to store the parameter and exit from this menu. 4.- This procedure is only necessary to set the CTCSS/DCS encode and decode. Press [FUN] key to access the menu, use the [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob until display the menu 18 (receiving CTCSS/DCS setting), use the [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob to select the desired code, press [MONI] key to switch between DCS and CTCSS modes, press [FUN] key to set normal DCS code or inverted code, use [PTT] to confirm and then, press [FUN] key to exit. 5.- Press [FUN] and [VFO] keys, the channel will flash, input the desired channel using the keypad and press [VFO] key to confirm, then press [VFO] key to shift to the new channel, operation completed. 6.- Delete a saved channel: In Frequency+Channel mode, select a saved channel (unlocked). Press [VFO] key for 2 seconds, the LCD will indicate “DEL--?”, then press [PTT] key, and the channel will be deleted. 6.13.- RESET: Holding the [VFO] key, turn on the transceiver, it will display a message "RESET?", press the [PTT] to confirm and the transceiver will return to its factory settings. 6.14.- BATTERY CAPACITY: When the battery voltage is lower than the value set, the status indicator LED will flash red and the transceiver will alert you with a "Beep". The LCD will show "BAT LOW" (low battery), and can't transmit any more. Turn off the radio to change or charge the battery. If you don't change or charge the battery, the transceiver will automatically turn off. 6.15.- ALARM: When you are in an emergency situation, press [ALARM] key for 2 seconds and the remote alarm function will be activated, and the whole group will be notified; press the key again to stop the alarm.

6.16.- WIRE CLONE: Without other equipment, you can clone the data of a transceiver to other transceiver by wire. Connect the two transceivers with the cloning cable. Press the [MONI] key in the host transceiver while turning on, the LCD will display "CLONE" and the status indicator LED will flash red, then the clone process begins. If the cloning process fail, the LCD will display "ERROR". If cloning is finishes, the LCD will display "END", and it will return to standby state of cloning. Press any key to exit from cloning mode.. 6.17.- KEYPAD LOCK: This function is to prevent unintended use of the transceiver. To lock the keypad: Press [FUN] key for 2 seconds, the transceiverPulse la tecla [FUN] durante 2 segundos, the

transceiver beeps indicating that the keypad has been locked and it will display icon “ ”. To unlock the keypad: Press [FUN] key for 2 seconds, the transceiver beeps indicating that the keypad has been unlocked and the icon will disappear. 7.- MENU SETTING: 7.1.- VOI FUNCTION: 1.- Press [FUN] key, then use the [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob until display the menu 1, the LCD will display "VOI 01?" 2.- Press [PTT] to enter the menu, use the [UP] / [DOWN] or turn the channel knob to select "CH", "ON" or "OFF" (Chinese, English or Off). 3.- Press [PTT] to confirm the setting of "VOI" (voice message) function and return to the main menu. Press [FUN] key to save the changes and exit to main menu. 7.2.- HIGH/LOW POWER: With high power settings more energy is consumed, so for a small communication coverage choose the low power, but if you need a wider coverage, select the high power setting. 1.- Press [FUN] key to access the main menu, then use the [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob until display the menu 2, the LCD will display "POW 02?". 2.- Press [PTT] to enter the menu, use the [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob to select "H" (high power) or "L" (low power), then press the [PTT] to confirm the settings and return to the main menu. Low power is indicated by "LO", while the high power will not be indicated. 10.- TROUBLESHOOTING: Before assuming that your transceiver is defective, perform the checks described in the following table. If the problem persists, try to reset the transceiver because sometimes performing a reset, the problems can be solved.

Problem Cause/Possible solution The transceiver doesn't turns on when pressing on the power on key.

- The battery pack is discharged. Replace with a fully charged battery pack or proceed to charge the exhausted battery. - The battery pack is not properly installed in the transceiver. Remove and replace the battery pack in the transceiver.

The battery is rapidly exhausted.

- The battery pack life expires. Replace the battery pack with a new one of the same characteristics as that supplied with the transceiver.

You can't talk or communicate with other members of the group.

- Make sure that you use the same CTCSS tone or DCS code as the other members in your group. - The other members of your group may we too far away. Make sure you are within range of the other transceivers.

Other group communications interfere in your group.

- Change the CTCSS/DTCS of your group. Be sure to change the CTCSS/DCS on all transceivers in your group.

If after doing this checks, the transceiver still doesn't work properly, contact with the Authorized Technical Service.
