Actualmente Espaa, no tiene un sistema oficial de comunicaciones mediante cabo para el buceo profesional, aunque si que existen algunas seales que estn estandarizadas por su uso a nivel laboral y que provienen de su implantacin desde el mbito del buceo militar.Seales con cabo del buceo militar - Armada Espaola. (*) La seal nmero 16 no forma parte de las originales del buceo militar, es una aportacin del buceo profesional, que utilizada comnmente. NOTA: En este tipo de comunicacin, el receptor ha de repetir la seal del emisor, para indicarle que la ha entendido. La comunicacin puede realizarse entre buceadores/as o entre estos/as y el/la asistente en superficie.

Existen otros sistemas estandarizados de amplia aceptacin fuera de Espaa, como son los establecidos por Royal Navy y la US Navy, que a continuacin te mostraremos y que sin duda tienes que aprender.
