Several imaging formats

MobileDaRt Evolution offers several types ofFPD imaging formats – an ideal solution tooptimize the clinical workflow according to thepriorities of imaging.

Compact format: 23 x 28 cm / 9 x 11 inchMid-size format: 27 x 35 cm / 11 x 14 inchLarge format: 35 x 43 cm / 14 x 17 inch

Scintillator technology

All flat panel detectors meet the essentialrequirements for state-of-the-art X-ray imaging. The amorphous silicon flat paneldetector has a scintillator made of gadoliniumoxysulfide (GOS) or cesium iodide (CsI). TheCsI crystals provide optimal light channelingproperties for effective X-ray absorption andhigh signal-to-noise performance.

The advanced technology delivers high-quality diagnostic images with minimal X-rayexposure for patients, especially useful forpediatric purposes.

Single and dual connectivity

To save time and costs the MobileDaRt Evolution provides the unique advantage to run two different detectors. It allows the hos-pitals to enhance the range of applications –with just one unit.

Wireless FPDs are the next generation ofmobile X-ray imaging which does no longerrequire cables between the flat panel detectorand the X-ray unit. Particularly in confinedspaces or wards, this makes FPD positioning

and operation easier. Furthermore, wirelessFPDs reduce the effort to keep the systemsterile in operating rooms or infectious envi-ronments.

Wide imaging range

The MobileDaRt Evolution has a long stroke onits ultra long arm (up to 1,200 mm) making eventhe most difficult imaging situations accessible. The cross-arm is freely rotatable by 270°, bothclockwise and counter-clockwise. There is noneed to reposition the unit in narrow spaces.

“Inch-mover” buttons

The MobileDaRt Evolution can be moved for-ward or backward by using the bedside drivecontrols located on the front of the collimator.Due to safety considerations any sudden forceapplied to the handle during “inch-mover”operation stops the system automatically.

In addition, X-ray irradiation is also automati-cally disabled during any movement of the system.

Ultra-light counterbalance handling

A counterbalance system allows for easy posi-tioning and accurate exposure.

Additionally, a low column type with a heightof only 1,780 mm (150 mm less than the stan-dard version) allows easy access to specialmedical environments and safe movementwithin the medical area, e.g. elevators.

“All Free” buttons

Pressing any of the “AllFree” buttons releasesthe electromagneticlocks for arm rotation, arm extension, and ver-tical movement of theX-ray tube, thus allow-ing positioning in onesimple move.

Outstanding operability and

efficient workflow

Anatomical programs

The new control software incorporates newfunctionalities and optimizes the pre- andpost-processing workflow. The anatomicalprograms (APRs) can be easily selected via a body mask to perform the recommendedradiographic examinations.

Direct image processing via touch-screen

After exposure, various types of post-process-ing functions like angulation, free annotation, measurements and marker setting, can beapplied on the LCD touch-screen.

Image processing enables individual selectionof the required image information.

Wireless integration into the hospital’s

network

By touching the screen, the image is uploadedto the PACS station within a few seconds.MobileDaRt Evolution features include supportof DICOM Print, Store and Modality WorklistManagement (MWM). Output data in DICOMcan be forwarded using the LAN cable provid-ed. Alternatively, wireless LAN compatibilitycreates a network connection environmentproviding even greater freedom.

Large storage capacity

Around 3,500 high-resolution digital imagescan be stored in the onboard computer of theMobileDaRt Evolution.

Intuitive PC-guided operation allows easy andquick upload of stored images to the hospitalnetwork and comparisons between pre-opera-tive and post-operative states.

Blurring suppressed by rapid radiography

In cases of emergency or other difficult conditions, it is often difficult for patients to maintain a stable position. In these situations state-of-the-art rapid radiography with a maximum capacity of 32 kW can be applied, ensuring blur-free images. MobileDaRt Evolution produces high-output X-rays allowing radiography to be performed faster than before.Wide range of applications

MobileDaRt Evolution provides an exceptional clinical advantage offering a wide range of flat panel detectors differing in size, sensitivity and data transfer techno-logy. Users benefit from the smart flexibility and functionality of MobileDaRt Evolution to configure a system meeting their needs and interests.

Power assisted steering bar

Light pressure on the drive handle makes theMobileDaRt Evolution move as if it were anextension of the hand. This way, the system iscontrolled easily and effortlessly during move-ment and bedside positioning.

Keyless password lock

This option enables greater flexibility and elimi-nates any misuse. By defining passwords fordifferent users, only selected operators haveaccess to the system without a key. Addition-ally, user parameter settings can be specifiedto increase operation comfort and workflowimprovement.

Motorization

A newly developed dual motor concept allowsquick and quiet movements. It turns on the spotand is easily positionable even in narrow spaces.

Safety chime

When activated, this safety feature helps toavoid accidents when driving the MobileDaRtEvolution through a crowded medical facility. This function can be switched off.

Safety bumper

As a standard feature the safety bumper avoids collision damages. Hard impacts switchthe motor off automatically.

User convenience and product safety

Ideal parking position

of collimator and X-ray

tube

The excellent designallows a favorable flatparking position of thecollimator and X-raytube and keeps a goodfront view when mov-ing the system.

It avoids any head-oncollision and is easilyand quickly accessiblefor bed-side position-ing.

Unique: handle height

option

The drive handle canbe raised in four differ-ent stages between 910and 1,000 mm aboveground level, making iteasy for taller opera-tors to operate andmove the system. Thisergonomic feature isunique and an evolu-tionary step in opera-bility.

Extra hand switch and remote control

In order to further improve the patient care while performingradiography, an additional hand switch can be installed onthe front panel of the main unit (column side). An optionalinfrared remote control for safer execution of X-ray irradia-tion minimizes the operator’s exposure to scatter.

Dose area product meter (DAP)

Attaching an optional dose area product meter (DAP) to thecollimator allows for dose measurement and display of theactual dose values on the main unit. The dose information isrecorded in the DICOM header of the images. Alternatively, just a display can be installed showing dose values calcu-lated by the system.
