SITUACION DE LA EFW EN EL MUNDO
• En 2014 hay aproximadamente 2200 plantas incineradoras en el mundo.
• Estas p lantas t ienen una capacidad de tratamiento de 270 M toneladas anuales.
• Entre 2009 y 2013 se han construido más de 200 plantas incineradoras con una capacidad de 60 M toneladas anuales.
• Se calcula que hasta 2023 se van a construir 500 plantas nuevas con una capacidad de 160 M toneladas anuales.
• Es una de las cinco empresas mas importantes del sector de gestion de residuos en el Reino Unido.
• Cuenta con 2400 empleados y mas de 200 centros de trabajo. • Opera:
• 39 depositos controlados. • 33 estaciones de trasnferencia algunas equipadas para transporte
ferroviario. • 11 instalaciones de compostaje. • 10 plantas de tratamiento mecanico con recuperacion de materiales. • 1 planta de tratamiento mecanico biologico en contruccion. • 3 plantas incineradoras (EfW) en operacion con una capacidad de 850ktpa. • 2 plantas incineradoras en construccion con una capacidad de 500 ktpa. • Permiso para construir y ampliar plantas incineradoras por 200 ktpa de
capacidad adicional. • Mas de 100 puntos limpios y 5 canteras.
