PROTISTA KINGDOM. 1º ESO B1
1. Which two groups of organisms belong to the kingdom Protista?
PROTOZOA
- They are prokaryotic / eukaryotic - They are unicellular / multicellular
- They are autotrophic / heterotrophic
Protozoa can live in ………….……., in …………………. ……………………….. and inside …………… ……………………... .
4. Protozoa are heterotrophic. What does this mean?
5. Complete:
Some protozoa feed on a larger organisms, causing diseases. They are …………………………………… .
Some others live …………………………………….. in pools of water, feeding on ………………………………… .
6. Write three examples of diseases caused by protozoa.
ALGAE
7. Underline the right options (Be careful! Both can be right):
- They are prokaryotic / eukaryotic - They are unicellular / multicellular
- They are autotrophic / heterotrophic
8. Complete:
Algae can live in both ……………….. water and salt ………………… . They can live ………………. or in colonies.
9. Visit https://kids.britannica.com/kids/article/algae/352729 and write four reasons of why algae are important.
