SE + Indirect Object Pronoun
Use SE + Indirect Object Pronoun + Verb to talk about unintentional events.
1. The indirect object Pronoun depends on whom the event happened to.
Ex.
Se me rompió un vaso I broke a glass
Se te rompió un vaso You broke a glassSe nos rompió un
vasoWe broke a glass2. Use the singular of the verb if the item
involved is singular.Ex. Se me perdió la foto. I lost the photo.
3. Use the plural of the verb if the item involved is plural.
Ex. Se me perdieron las fotos I lost the photos.
4. To clarify the indirect object pronoun, a phrase with a can be used.EX.
A Marta se le cayó el libro Marta dropped the book
A ustedes se les perdió la carta
You (all) lost the letter
