“THE DOBERMAN JUMPED ON ME, BIT ME AND THEN WENT

FOR YAKI” A neighbour from Lamiako reports the attack of a dog that was unleashed. “Yesterday it was me, tomorrow it could be a child”

I.B.P. is a young neighbour from Lamiako who “is sick of not being able to walk his dog Yaki in peace”, because a neighbour who lives a few metres next to his house walks her pair of Dobermans without the obligatory strap. Until the past week, this habit only caused some discussion between the owners of the dogs. The owner of the Dobermans denied to tie the dogs although one of the is aggressive and other neighbours are afraid of it. The incident happened at 9.30am, when I.B.P. went to walk out his dog. Depend of his testimony, the doberman jumped on him, bit him and then bit his dog’s neck. He testified that the owner of the Dobermans “didn’t do anything” to stop them.

WORLD NEWS Star Wars casting Open auditions are being planned for two roles in the next Star Wars film. The casting sessions for Star Wars: Episode VII are going to start a week later around the UK and Ireland, including London, Dublin and Glasgow. According to a casting announcement the film­makers are looking to fill two roles. They are searching for an orphaned girl and a man in their late teens or early 20s. The open auditions were first announced on Twitter. Disney bought Lucas’ film, the production company of the Star Wars series, in October 2012.  

Egyptian troops die in Sinai attack Ten people have been killed and dozens more wounded in a car bomb attack on Egyptian soldiers near the North Sinai city of el­Arish. Al­Masri al­Youm newspaper said a convoy of buses carrying infantry soldiers was hit by a roadside bomb as it moved through the Kharouba area. Attacks on security forces in the Sinai have increased since Islamist President Mohammed Morsi was ousted in July.

NI attorney general John Larkin calls for end to Troubles prosecutions

There should be an end to prosecutions for Troubles­related killings, Northern Ireland's attorney general has said. 

John Larkin said there should be no further police investigations, inquests or inquiries into any relevant killings that took place before the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998. That means all deaths caused by paramilitaries, police or the Army.         Many children run slower than their parents  Many children cannot run as fast as their parents could when they were young, a study of global fitness says. Experts say the work ­ being presented at the American Heart Association's annual meeting ­ suggests children's fitness levels may be declining. Researchers analysed data spanning 46 years and involving more than 25 million children in 28 countries. On average, children today run a mile 90 seconds slower than did their counterparts 30 years ago, they said.

World's fastest car set to break records, again   Many of the pilots assembled at the Dubai Airshow can boast breaking the sound barrier, but only one man in the world can say he's done it both in the sky and on the ground. That privilege belongs to former fighter jet pilot Royal Air Force (RAF) Wing Commander Andy Green. As the driver of Thrust SSC ­­ the fastest car on the planet ­­ he broke the sound barrier in 1997 with a world land speed record of 763mph. Despite the roar of the display jets passing overhead, he remains focused on more terrestrial matters: the quest to drive a car over 1,000 mph with The Bloodhound Project.

THE CABLE CHILDREN

Do you hate school? Do you think that school is useless? For the children who live in Rio Negro valley, 60km south of Bogotá, the answer would be “no”, school is the only way for them to escape from poverty, they go to school to learn how to write and read, nothing more. Their desire to get that is so big that they risk their life everyday to go to school. They go down a 800 metres steel cable, and 400 metres above the ground everyday, this trip is about 60 seconds. Accidents usually happen, arms, legs and knees are usually broken from crash landings, and this happens usually to children. The cables have been sabotaged many times, by the military and Farc (the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia). So, now, when you go to school, don’t complain, because now you know that things could be worse, or would you like to be one of the cable children?

AN EYE FOR AN EYE WILL MAKE US ALL BLIND

Revenge has moved the countries and people for hundreds of years, most of the people don’t forgive things, they look for revenge. Nowadays, there are a lot of wars which have existed in the past too. I strongly believe that the revenge is the worst thing that you can do, because if you don’t forgive things, the former problem will get bigger, as the revenge. You don’t have to take revenge, the best thing that you can do is speak, and try to solve the problem, but the revenge has been the excuse to conquer cities or lands, so for some politicians, the revenge is the best excuse to get what they want.

CHILDREN WITH GUNS Today, some developing countries are in war and there are more child soldiers. In 17 countries, the children go to the war, their childhood is destroyed, and the relationship between them too, because in war there are no friends. For most of the children, this is a game, for them the guns are normal. At that age, we were playing with footballs and dolls, but for them, those are the only toys they have ever known, toys that kill people. This isn’t normal, or at least, it shouldn’t have to be normal, although in some countries it is. Now while you are reading this, children are dying in war, are you going to do something about 

that?

SPORT NEWS  Almost 8,000 € on the auction of the Athletic Club’s T­Shirts  7,962.07€, that’s the total quantity of euros that has been bid on ebay to get the T­Shirts of some of the players of the Athletic, for now, the highest bid has been for the Julen Guerrero’s T­Shirt, the bid is on 3,000€. The next T­Shirt is Llorente’s one with 720€. 

  

 Bilbao Basket almost win  Men in black almost won the Sixers, an NBA team. Bilbao Basket lost, but the impression left by the men in black was very good. 14,000 people watched the match in the 

Bizkaia Arena. If Raul Lopez had shot the three­pointer over the horn, the BEC would come down.

 Closer for Vettel  Vettel won at Suzuka last day, and only a disaster could prevent his final victory. Vettel needed to win and he needed Alonso to be the eighth. Vettel won the race, but Alonso was fourth so he needs to win the next race.

SCHOOL TRIP

We are students from 4 DBH of Ballonti high school, in Portugalete. From April the 8th to April the 11th we went on a school trip to Barcelona and Salou (and we spent a day in Tarragona). First day: that day we had to get up early, to catch a bus at 6:30am in front of Ballonti high school. After a bus trip of 5 hours (nearly) we arrived in Cavas de Codorniú, there they explained us when and how the wineries were built and what products they made there, in addition, we went through the buildings. After having lunch, we took the bus to Barcelona and we had a guided visit through Barcelona, starting from Montjuic (there we could see all the city) and ending in the old part of Barcelona, there, we got out the bus to continue the

guided visit walking, and watching all the gothic zone. At the end, we went to the hostel where we had dinner and “slept”. Second day: that day we had breakfast at 8:15am, and after “cleaning” a little bit the bedrooms (of 10 people) and after packing up our suitcases we continued with our guided visit of Barcelona by bus. We got out of the bus to see the Parc Guell, and there we took some photos, it was strange because of the shapes of the buildings. After taking a nap of 10 minutes, we went back to the bus and went to the Sagrada Familia, there, the guide explained us how and when it was built. Next, we went to the Ramblas to eat, there you could eat anywhere you wanted. In the afternoon we went to the Camp Nou, to see the museum there was inside. Finally we went to Salou and settled down in the hotel, then we had dinner and we went out at night. Third day: we had breakfast at 8:15am, like other days. Then, we got on the bus and went to Tarragona, where our new guide was waiting for us. There we saw the roman old part of the city, including the wall, the streets and the amphitheatre, there we spent all the morning, and after eating a sandwich (or whatever you bought) we said goodbye to our guide and went back to Salou, where we were free until the dinner time (20:00pm), in that time you could go to the beach or do anything you wanted. After having dinner you could go out. Fourth day: like everyday, we had breakfast at 8:15am, and went to Port Aventura to spend there all the day, until 19:15pm (because at that hour it closed), there we got on the rides there were. We went back to the hotel to have dinner and then, we went out as it was the last night. Fifth day: we got up at 8:00am, had breakfast at 8:15am and then we “cleaned” a little bit our bedrooms and packed up our suitcases. Then, at 9:00am we went to the

bus and started our long way back. At last, we arrived here at 17:00pm, but we were all exhausted.

-Now that the school trip is over, we can evaluate the school trip as good, in my opinion it was OK, because we had a lot of laughs and because we had a very good time at night. We also learned many things, and everybody’s relationships (more or less) have strengthened.

agony aunt Dear Anne, my art teacher hates me because I draw better than her. The other day I finished the work that she sent, but she said that it was very bad, that it could be better. It was a nuisance since it was perfectly done! And when I told her that it was nicely done she didn’t trust me, so I took a rule and measured the drawing with the model. It was perfect! Since then she hates me and she complains about everything I do. I’m afraid that someday she could push me downstairs. What can I do? A. Dear A. I could recommend you to show initiative and throw her downstairs before she does, but I don’t think that that’s good advice (although you would like doing that) so I will advise you to speak with that teacher and tell her that, in your opinion, what’s happening is not fair. And if she ignores you, talk to the director, and if that doesn’t work, I’m sorry my friend,try to ignore her as you will have to live with that.

RECIPE

COUSCOUS WITH MILK INGREDIENTS (For 2 people) :

● 75 grams of couscous ● 200 centilitres of milk ● 2 spoonfuls of sugar ● 2 stick of cinnamon ● 2 lemon skin ● Ground cinnamon

HOW TO MAKE IT: This recipe have 2 steps: first of all cook the couscous and then add the milk

1. Put the milk with the stick of cinnamon and the lemon skin and bring the mixture to the boil and when it does, calculate 75 centilitres of milk and put it in a bowl and mix with all the couscous.

2. Let the couscous absorb the milk and let stand it for about 2 minutes, then with a fork stir it to separate the couscous and then add another 25 centilitres of milk

3. Put the mixture onto the pan where you are going to serve it and add milk depending on the texture you like.
