Essay: comparing and constrasting view of love in "Indian Camp" by Ernest Hemingway and the excerpt from "Tracks" by Louise Erdrich.

Both texts show the relationship between White and Native Americans. The indians who have some health problems and doctors whom were supposed to help them. Besides other situations of the indians and doctors family .

There is lovely emotions related to the family and the ones who have some pathology.

Firstly, There are not shown affective feelings from the doctors to the patients , in indian camp Nicks father is not worried about there are not anesthetics to make the injury while in tracks the doctor is there only because a priest told him.

In tracks the doctor shows a lack of emotions towards the indians as it is said that he was known to refuse indians to their face. In indian camp the doctor does not show any sign of being rushed but he was going to shanty at least.

The grandfather of the girl gave his best to cure her frozen feet, whereas the housband of the indian who was having a baby could not resist the pain and screams of her, so he decided to kill himself.

Secondly, In tracks the grandfather did a great effort of mantaining the girl asleep to avoid the suffering. It is the main topic, and it is told great part of the text, it occurs something similar in indian camp where the indians are in a hurry to get to the shanties, and lots of women had already tried to help her baby to be born.

Finally, nicks father let his child to take the chance of watching him sewing the incisin he made, while the doctor in tracks prefered giving the girl a syrup to sleep and not to hear which was his decision .

The indians who where in the rowboats seems to be indifferent at the shanty ,although they could not do so much, while the grandfather was in big compromise with his grand daughter, because chose to put her in risk saving her on his own.

In conclusin this two texts are full of strong emotions, and show the ways of some people to help the ones who have health problems

There are differentiated by the knowledge and inventions that were at each historical context
