Your final project will combine the knowledge of the business world and itsvocabulary that you have accumulated {I hope!} throughout the course ofthe semester, plus information about your own created company[perfumes, pastries, cars, gyms, etc.] plus the knowledge of your country

[or one of your countries, for those of you who have switched].

You will be describing, in as much detail as possible, what the realoperations of your company would be like in the country of your choosing.Find out what similar companies/services already existyour competition.Find out what banking/financial services you would need to start up yourbusiness and what bank you could get them from. Find out what type ofproperty or building is for sale or rent.

Now that youre physically established, you need to run job ads and sendout fliers announcing your company. Id like a copy of each.

Naturally, nothing in life ever runs smoothly [case in point, Zee v.technology]. Describe a possible problem that your company mightencounter [technology, personnel, manufacturing, transportation, etc.]and describe the solution or compromise.

Finally, youre either so successful that you expand/diversify, or declarebankruptcy [or suffer losses after a mysterious fire] and close. Either way,you have to inform your clients of your new situation.

So, what is it that Im looking for? A portfolio of the relevant documents[help wanted ad, carta de aperturaannouncing the opening of thebusiness, a letter announcing the change in status of the company] plus anarrative of the start up informationcountry information, competition,contacts [middlemen, suppliers/distributors, etc/], physical characteristicsof your business [where, buy or rent, what will you need to acquire, whowill you need to hire]; the CV of someone applying to you and his or her

cover letter; a narrative of the problem and the solution; a narrative of theexpansion and closure.

All of this should be typed, with the accents included, and handed to meat 6:30 on or before 7 May. I will be available between now and then forconsultation.
