En un oscuro bosque vivía un hada llamada Erial,

que había sido repudiada años atrás por los

humanos debido a la maldición que sobre ella

pesaba.

****In a dark forest there was a fairy called Erial, who

had been rejected years ago by humans due to a

curse that was put on her.

Un joven bajó del carro, preocupado por la muchacha de níveos cabellos.

 —Menos mal que no te ha rozado —le dijo—. Esa debe de ser la cruel hada de cristal

de la que tanto hablan. Dicen que todo cuanto toca pierde la vida

y en frágil cristal queda convertido.

 —¿Realmente lo crees? —respondió ella mientras recogía los pasteles—. Parecía asustada…

 —Eres demasiado amable, pero preferiría que la evitaras —respondió molesto el joven

antes de reemprender el trayecto.

****A young boy went down the cart, worried about the girl with snowy hair.

“It’s a good thing we had no contact” he told her. “That must be the cruel crystal

fairy so many people talk about. They say that everything she touches, loses

the life and becomes fragile crystal.”

“Do you really believe that?” she answered while she collected the cakes.

“She looked so frightened…” 

“You are too kind, but you’d rather avoid her” answered the young boy annoyed

before retaking his journey.

Algo había enternecido el corazón de la muchacha, ypese a la advertencia de su amado, unos días después,

llena de curiosidad, en el bosque se atrevió a entrar.

****Something had moved the girl’s heart, and despite her

lover’s advice, some days later she dared to go into the

forest full of curiosity.

Desesperada, la joven escapó de su casa. Descalza ycubierta con una capa, corrió y corrió para alertar al

hada, pues los aldeanos querían acabar con aquello que

quería proteger. Su prometido, al notar su ausencia,

corrió tras ella y se unió a las gentes del

pueblo ciego de celos.

****Totally desperate, the young girl escaped from home.Barefoot and covered with a cape, she ran and ran

to alert the fairy, because the villagers wanted to end

up with what she wanted to protect. Her fiancé, after

realizing her absence, ran after her and joined the

villagers blinded with jealousy.
