Nicole Plata: Por El Amor de Dios Nicole Plata es una artista nativa de San Jose, California y sus obras son inspiradas por su experiencias y obstáculos que ha encontrado por medio de su propia vida y también de la comunidad a la que ella sirve. Su estilo es influido por las raíces de su descendencia en Panama y Puerto Rico y la cultura política del barrio urbano en la Bahia Area.Nicole demuestra su proceso de recuperación de un tumor traumático en su celebro y su amor que le motiva para criar adolescentes como líderes del pueblo urbano.

Yesenia Torres Dance: Entrance of the Queen Yesenia learned how to belly dance at Sausan's Academy of Egyptian Belly Dance located here in San Francisco. She has performed at many different events in the Bay Area, such as: The Closing of the King Tut at the De Young Museum, various Berkeley I-House events, Carnaval of Stars, as well as weddings, and private events.

Reading Two American Classics through a Quixotic Frame: ‘Travels with Charley’ and ‘A Confederacy of Dunces.’ Michael Hammer, Associate Professor of Spanish, Spanish Program Coordinator, San Francisco State University

Two American literary classics through the lens of Don Quixote; Travels with Charley in Search of America (1962), John Steinbeck and A Confederacy of Dunces (1980), Ignatius J. Reilly, If each book evokes Don Quixote in some way, each interpretation is distinct, raising interesting possibilities of what Cervantes’s masterpiece can mean today.
