A380 New Design Weights Option

• From 2013 onwards for new aircraft deliveries, airlines will be able to select increased design weights:Current variant : 569 t / 391 t / 366 t for MTOW/MLW/MZFW Increased Variant : 573 t / 393 t / 368 t

• Adds ~100nm range on MTOW-limited missionsRange capability increased to 8,300nm

Adds ~ 1.5t (3300lb) max. structural payload on MZFW-limited missions• Leveraging output from more than 45,000 Flight Cycles (end April 2010) of full-

scale fatigue test so far That is 2.4 DSG (“aircraft lives”) and test continuing to > 2.5 aircraft lives

• Achieved through loads reductions (Partly through flight control laws optimisation) and minor local modifications
