BRAND OVERVIEW

Resident Evil is one of the most iconic and successful franchises in video games. The first

game was released in 1996 to critical acclaim and popularized the ‘survival horror’ genre.

With blockbuster live action movies, CG anime, manga, novels and numerous merchandising

lines such as action figures and apparel, the Resident Evil franchise is now firmly established

as a mainstay of contemporary culture.

The overarching plot of the series focuses on protagonists that battle against the fictional

Umbrella Corporation as well as mysterious viruses that cause outbreaks of zombies and

other mutated enemy creatures.

2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Resident Evil.
