CAMPANYA DE SOLIDARITAT

Us hem de dir amb gran alegría que, recomptats els diners que vam

recaptar a les diferents activitats solidàries dissenyades i portades a

terme a l’escola, la suma final ascendeix a 2.823,50 euros. Aquesta xifra

s’ha aconseguit gràcies a la generositat de tota la comunitat educativa,

compromesa en la construcció d’un món més just i fratern.

Els diners recaptats ja van camí de Madagascar.

Moltíssimes gràcies a tothom!!!!!

CONCURS A LA RECERCA DE LA RESPOSTA

surt la seva esposa. Sabries dir-me quin pintor va representar el segon

casament d'aquest personatge?

EXTRAESCOLAR DE FÚTBOL

El proper dijous dia 10 de maig, els alumnes de 1r, 2n i 3r de primària

jugaran un partit de futbol amb alumnes de l'escola Els Porxos. Segons la

quantitat de nens es farien dos partits alhora. Els familiars dels alumnes

que participen d'aquesta activitat esteu convidats a animar als alumnes.

6a CURSA ESCOLAR BESÒS-MARESME:

Recordeu que el dissabte 12 de maig tindrà lloc la 5a Cursa Escolar

Besòs-Maresme. Aquesta setmana s’han repartit les samarretes que han de portar el dia de la cursa.

Us recordem que:

1. El punt de sortida/trobada serà Rambla de Prim amb Carrer Mogent.

2. Els participants hauran d’estar al lloc de concentració 15 minuts

abans de l’hora d’inici de la seva cursa (veure el quadre posterior). Mireu molt bé quina és l’hora de cada cursa.

3. Si algú arriba tard no podrà participar en cap altra cursa. 4. Els participants han de portar posada la samarreta de la cursa i el

dorsal enganxat al davant amb imperdibles.

5. Les famílies es faran responsables dels seus fills durant el transcurs de l’esdeveniment.

6. En el punt de trobada trobareu voluntaris informant.

AMY’S CORNER:

I invite you to take a look out of your window. Carefully observe the view. At first glance it might

appear to be perfectly serene. Clouds resting in the sky, trees and buildings firmly fixed to the

ground, with the only evidence of activity being the background drone of the city; but whether we

realise it or not, we are all in a state of permanent transit. From day to day, week to week, month

to month, there is never really a moment in which we are not moving.

The Earth rotates on its axis at around 1600km per hour, and revolves around our star at roughly

30km per second – that’s 1800km per minute, 108,000km per hour, 2,592,000km per day. In

exactly one year’s time the Earth will have travelled more than 940 million kilometres in its orbit

around the Sun. If it weren’t for the gravitational pull of the Earth, keeping us fixed on the surface,

life as we know it would be impossible.

Now let’s consider the ground beneath our feet - the streets, fields, mountains and deserts. The

surface of this planet of ours might feel stable and still enough, but in reality we are always on the

move. The Earth’s crust consists of multiple tectonic plates that rest on top of a layer of molten

rock (or magma). The magma keeps the plates in constant motion. In fact they can move at a speed

of up to 10cm a year, which is roughly the same speed at which most people’s fingernails grow!

When these plates grind past one another, friction is generated and pressure builds up until all the

energy is suddenly released in the form of an earthquake. When earthquakes happen under the

ocean, the shock waves can cause displacement of water to such a great extent that a tsunami is

triggered. Even if we ever manage to create a global utopia, we will still be unable to prevent

natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis.

As humans we are very attached to ideas of permanence and immovability. We often entertain

notions of “the natural order”, but only insofar as we place ourselves at the centre of everything we

know. We love to delineate, separate, draw lines in the sand and then proclaim that this is how

things have always been. But we should remember that it was only 400 generations ago that our

ancestors – who had been scattered across the globe in close-knit hunter gatherer societies – were

slowly beginning to migrate into the regions that had previously been locked under immense ice

sheets.

Until around 9000BC there was a land bridge across the North Sea that connected Great Britain to

continental Europe. The rising sea levels that resulted from the melting of the ice sheets caused this

region to be swallowed by the sea, but archaeologists are now able to deduce that people lived

there. The significance of this lies in the fact that the very landscapes we recognise, glorify and

attach ourselves to so fervently in our modern era are merely the result of thousands upon

thousands of permutations throughout history. And with the fluctuations of the land and sea,

waves of human migration went with it. We think of the earliest civilisations, such as the Sumerians

and Egyptians, as incredibly ancient, but throughout most of our “prehistory” we have been a

nomadic species.

Now we are living in the “Anthropocene era”, the so-called Age of Man. For much of our history we

have placed ourselves at the metaphorical – and literal – centre of the known universe. I am

reminded of a haunting extract from Sophocles’ tragedy Antigone, which Scott Horton translates

thus:

“Many things are formidable, and yet nothing is quite so formidable as man.

Over the gray sea and the storming south wind,

Through the foam and welling of the waves, he makes his perilous way;

The Earth also, highest of the deities, who never shows fatigue, nor exhaustion, nor decay,

Ever he furrows and ploughs, year on year, with his ploughshare, muzzles and horses.

The light-seeking birds of the air he stalks and traps, the wild beasts of the forest, and the salty

brood of the sea, he catches with his richly woven net–

He, the cunning one,

And by his arts he achieves mastery of the savage game, of the creatures who wind their way upon

the heights, tamed through his wondrous art,

And the defiant steed he bends to his will under the bit.

Speech and wind-driven thoughts and emotions form the foundation upon which he builds the city,

All of this he has taught himself; and to take shelter before the inhospitable torrents of the heavens,

and the freeze of the winter sky.

He is prepared for everything; against nothing does he want for protection. Even against once

perplexing ailments he has developed an escape.

Only against death has he at last no refuge.”

This was the way the ancients understood the world and their place within it. In many ways I

believe our understanding has not progressed much further than this. In fact I would argue that we

have regressed. At the very least, the ancient polytheistic civilisations ascribed a certain degree of

reverence and significance to the land around them – rivers, oceans, trees and so forth. Of course

we have made a great deal of progress and we are beginning to gain a deeper understanding of our

place within the universe, but it seems increasingly evident that our insatiable need for dominion

and control will be not only our own undoing, but also that of the vast majority of the other species

with which we presently share the planet. What is to be done? Well, I believe that sometimes it is

only when we are on the brink of our own destruction that we are able to realise the truth.

To be human is to be suspended on a spinning planet on the edge of an otherwise uninhabited

solar system, more than 2.5 million light years away from our next nearest galaxy. Yet we are still

clinging to whatever semblance of self-importance and control we can conjure up. But control

should not be, never should have been, our objective. We can’t reverse the damage we have done.

When we take a journey to a new place and find ourselves driving along an unfamiliar route, we

usually consult a map, or type a postcode into our sat-nav. We lose our way, but one way or

another we are usually able to complete our journey intact. But with climate change, there can be

no retracing of steps. The only way forward is… well, forward. We just have to decide what kind of

future we want. In the words of Charlie Chaplin in “The Great Dictator”, “…the good earth is rich

and can provide for everyone...... You, the people, have the power to make this life free and

beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.”

EDUCACIÓ INFANTIL

SORTIDA A CAN RIBAS

El dimecres 9 de Maig realitzarem la sortida a Can Ribas (Bigues i

Riells) que vam haver d’anular com a conseqüència del mal temps.

Allà realitzarem els següents tallers:

bosc seguint les petjades dels

animals mediterranis ... i no

tant mediterranis.

Elaboració de pa i

galetes...umm que bons!!!

Aquest dimarts els nens i nenes hauran de portar la motxilla de l’escola amb un entrepà per esmorzar i un altre per dinar (o carmanyola),

especificant amb una etiqueta si és ESMORZAR o DINAR; també cal que portin una ampolla d’aigua, tot marcat amb el nom del nen/a. A la

sortida no poden portar llaminadures, patates, sucs, batuts, iogurts,...No cal que portin l’agenda ni la bata.

Recordeu que als alumnes que es queden al menjador els hi donarem pícnic i si algú altre estigués interessat ho pot demanar a secretaria el

proper dilluns.

NATACIÓ P3 DILLUNS 7-5-18

Com el proper dimecres anem d’excursió i els alumnes de P3 realitzen l’activitat de natació, aquella

setmana excepcionalment realitzaran l’activitat el dilluns 7 de maig per tal de no perdre la sessió de

piscina.

EDUCACIÓ PRIMÀRIA

CELEBRACIÓ DE SANT LLUÍS A PRIMÀRIA

Com ja sabeu el passat 27 d’abril vam celebrar el dia de Sant Lluís, el

nostre fundador, a l’escola. Va ser un dia molt especial (celebració

conjunta amb tota la comunitat educativa, activitats especials a les

aules, esmorzar de germanor) i volíem compartir amb vosaltres unes

imatges de la fira de Sant Lluís que vam fer per la tarda.

PROVES DE COMPETÈNCIES BÀSIQUES A 6è

Els propers dies 8, 9 i 10 de maig els alumnes de 6è realitzaran les

proves de Competències Bàsiques de les àrees de Llengua Catalana, Llengua Castellana, Llengua estrangera, Coneixement de Medi Natural i

Matemàtiques. Aquestes proves, tal i com explica el Departament d’Ensenyament, avaluen les competències i coneixements bàsics que han

d'haver adquirit els alumnes al final de l'educació primària per poder seguir amb normalitat el currículum de l'ESO. Aquesta prova externa que

elabora i organitza el Consell Superior d'Avaluació del Sistema Educatiu, té un caràcter informatiu, formatiu i orientador per als

alumnes, les famílies i els centres i ha de permetre millorar els resultats dels alumnes i afavorir-ne el pas a l’educació secundària obligatòria.

Aquesta setmana, per a més informació, les famílies i l’alumnat de 6è,

rebran un full informatiu amb tot el que cal saber sobre aquestes proves, elaborat pel propi Departament d’Ensenyament.

EDUCACIÓ SECUNDÀRIA

VISITA DEL PERIODÍSTA MANEL MANCHÓN ALS ALUMNES DE 3r

Avui ens ha visitat en Manel Manchón, un periodista exalumne del nostre

col·legi i, actualment, director del diari Economia Digital, ex editor del

diari ARA i corresponsal a Madrid de El Periódico de Catalunya . Ens ha

donat una mica del seu temps per poder-nos explicar de què tractava la

seva feina, quins eren els desavantatges en el seu àmbit professional,

què comportava l’evolució del diari de paper al digital, i de quina manera

aquest els hi condicionava els seus articles . També ens ha parlat de la

llibertat d’expressió, del secret professional i hem entès a través de les

seves explicacions com ha de ser l’ètica d’un periodista. Finalment ha

volgut compartir amb nosaltres la seva experiència personal des dels

seus inicis i per acabar de saciar els nostres dubtes, ens ha respost amb

total sinceritat des del seu punt de vista com a periodista i com a

persona, deixant clar que el periodisme no és un treball moralment fàcil,

però que mereix molt la pena.

Ha estat una experiència molt enriquidora i formativa per a tot els

companys de 3r d’ESO, els quals estem treballant a informàtica amb el

professor Òscar Pozo un diari digital.

XERRADA SOBRE CIBERBULLYING - LA GUÀRDIA URBANA BCN

El passat divendres les educadores de la Guàrdia Urbana van fer una

xerrada a 1r d’ESO per abordar els temes relacionats amb les xarxes

socials i les conseqüències del seu mal ús.

Els alumnes van participar explicant la seva

experiència personal i van poder fer

preguntes a les educadores sobre el

funcionament de les xarxes socials i les

conseqüències legals d’un mal ús.

També es va fer incidència en la necessitat

de tenir una comunicació sana entre els

membres de la classe més enllà de les

xarxes socials per evitar-hi els comentaris.

Les educadores van fer algunes dinàmiques per conscienciar l’alumnat

que són ells els responsables d’una bona convivència i de resoldre els

conflictes de forma pacífica, ja que les seves accions repercuteixen

directament en el grup-classe, en les famílies i en la comunitat educativa

en general.

Finalment, es va agrair la participació i actitud de l’alumnat en la xerrada

i les seves dinàmiques.

TREBALLEM #CONTRAELBULLYING A 1r D’ESO

Per donar continuïtat a la xerrada de la Guàrdia Urbana de divendres passat,

aquesta setmana, a l’hora de tutoria hem estat treballant sobre el Bullying a

classe. Mitjançant els mapes mentals, hem obtingut idees de tots els

sentiments, valors, accions, etc. que afecten a les persones a través del

Bullying.

És un tema que ens preocupa com a escola. Els alumnes són conscients que

només ens aporta coses negatives i que necessitem erradicar-lo. Per aquest

motiu, volem comprometre’ns com a escola amb la Fundació FCB en la seva

campanya contra el Bullying.

Avui, hem estat desenvolupant idees per tal de representar-les en una

fotografia, que presentarem a concurs per optar al premi d’una visita en

autocar per fer el Tour Camp Nou Experience i patinar a la pista de gel del

Camp Nou.

EL “SCHOOLS SONG CONTEST” A LA NOSTRA ESCOLA

Els propers dies 7, 8 i 10 de maig, la nostra

escola acollirà els festivals de cloenda

corresponents al “Schools Song Contest”,

concurs organitzat per la Federació d’Escoles

Cristianes. Aquest és un projecte adreçat a

alumnes des de cicle superior de Primària fins a

4t d’ESO, on els grups que s’hi inscriuen es

defineixen com a grups musicals, trien o

creen una música i una lletra en anglès,

preparen un videoclip i fan una actuació en el marc d’un Festival que serveix

de cloenda al Projecte.

Als nostres alumnes de 4t els ha tocat actuar el dilluns 7 amb una versió de la

cançó “"Mama" (feat. William Singe). Good luck!
