SCIENCE MUSEUM The museum was founded in 1857 . At first the museum was part of the South Kensington Museum together with the current Victoria and Albert Museum, but was separated and became the Museum of Patents in 1858, later called the Patent Office Museum in 1863. This museum contained the majority of the most famous objects that are now part of the Science Museum. In 1885, the Science Collections were renamed as the Science Museum, and in 1893 was appointed a director of the museum. The Art Collections were renamed the Art Museum, which later became the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Patent Office was integrated into the museum in 1901. Since then, and with changes in the structure and philosophy , the museum have the colections of the science, technology , industry , and medicine, mo st comprehensives in the world. The Science museum is in Exhibition Road, South Kensington, London SW7 2DD. In front of the museum, there is the Natural History Museum, in the Crownwell Road. The Victoria & Albert Museum is near the Museum too. Next to the museum there is the Imperail College Roas and the school Imperial College too. If your low on the Exhibition Road arrive at the metro station South Kensigton. And if you low in the street you'll arrive at the Albert Hall and at the Hyde Park.

The Science Museum features two main cafés, and various smaller ones and a large shopselling science-based toys and books.

EATING You may eat and drink in any uncarpeted area of the museum. If you have brought yourown food, seating is provided in the picnic area on the first floor. Our cafés accept allcredit cards.

REVOLUTION CAFÉ

Situated in the Energy Hall on the ground floor, this self-service cafe is open every day andserves a range of sandwiches, salads and soup as well as hot meals. You can alsorecharge with a hot or cold drink and a slice of homemade cake.

DEEP BLUE A family restaurant, located on the ground floor at the back of the museum, that offersgreat views of the high-tech Wellcome Wing.

SHOOPINGThe museum has a shop with toys of every kind, bright, noisy, wit ... It also has necklaces,
