A comienzos del siglo XX (1 924) nació en Eibar, cuna de la cartuchería y armería española, el cartucho "GB".

Como consecuencia del éxito empresarial de la marca "GB", la compañía hubo de ampliar sus instalaciones para lo cual se trasladó a Vitoria en 1 966 donde permaneció desarrollando su actividad hasta 1982.

Superada la etapa más difícil de la cartuchería, en 1 984 se creó la nueva sociedad Cartuchos GB, S.A., empresa que sigue, en la actualidad, fabricando y comercializando los cartuchos marca "GB".

Desde dicha fecha, el crecimiento de Cartuchos GB, ha sido notable, tanto en España como en el exterior, ocupando una importante cuota en ambos mercados.

Los Cartuchos "GB" han sido cargados y comprobados electrónicamente, utilizando la maquinaria tecnológicamente más avanzada, de acuerdo con las normas internacionales dictadas por la Commission International Permanente pour l'Epreuve des Armes á Feu Portatives (C.I.P.), lo que garantiza la calidad y seguridad de los mismos.

The "GB" cartridge has its origin at the beginning o f the XX century (1924j in Eibar, birthplace o f Spanish ammunition.

Los cartuchos GB están fabricados a partir de componentes seleccionados de alta calidad:

GB cartridges are made from high quality components:

VAINA: fabricada en máquinas cinemáticas continuas que aseguran su calidad y regularidad.

TUBO: fabricado con polietileno de alta densidad sometido a un proceso de biorientación con el fin de mejorar sus características y resistencia mecánica.

TACO BASE: fabricado por inyección de material termoplástico para lograr un perfecto ensamblado entre tubo y culote.

CULOTE: recibe un recubrimiento electroquímico con latón, a fin de dotarlo de un perfecto acabado y de una alta resistencia a la corrosión.

PISTÓN: elemento iniciador del cartucho y constituido de tres piezas metálicas que contienen en su interior la pasta explosiva que inicia la pólvora.

PÓLVORA: utilizamos principalmente la pólvora de simple base. Esta pólvora ha sido diseñada para mantener prácticamente constantes sus características balísticas frente a importantes variaciones de temperatura y humedad.

TACO CONTENEDOR: fabricado por inyección de plástico a partir de polietileno permite obtener un perfecto plomeo y un confortable retroceso.

PERDIGÓN: fabricados en plomo y acero, han sido sometidos a un exhaustivo control de calidad donde se determinan sus características dimensionales, esfericidad y dureza.

CASE: assembled in automatic machines which ensures constant high quality.

PLASTIC TUBE: manufactured from high density polyethylene which goes through a bidirectional process in order to provide excellent features and resistance.

BASE WAD: made by injection moulding to achieve a perfect assembling between tube and brass base.

BRASS BASE: produced from a brass-coated steel strip later treated to produce a perfect finish and a high resistance to corrosion.

PRIMER: The task o f the primer is to ignite the cartridge.It consists o f three metal parts that contains the explosive paste that ignite the powder.

POWDER: we mainly use the simple base powder.This powder has been specially designed to obtain near constant results even in the face o f important variations in temperature and humidity.

CONTAINER WAD: performed by injection moulding o f polyethylene provides an excellent pattern and a comfortable recoil.

SHOT: made from lead or steel. They are subjected to thorough quality control in order to determine its toughness and roundness.

Se han cuidado sus características balísticas para obtener el máximo rendimiento con este tipo de perdigón logrando la mayor semejanza al comportamiento tradicional.
