La inmunología Latinoamericana, del 28 de mayo al 03 de junio del 2012, celebra: INMUNOPERÚ 2012,

la máxima reunión del conocimiento inmunológico en su más alto nivel científico del siglo XXI,

abarcando áreas de inmunología básica y aplicada, clínica y pre-clínica humana y animal, dirigido a

todos aquellos profesionales, estudiantes y otros, interesados en este tema.

La inmunología es la base de un conocimiento imprescindible en todas las áreas de la medicina,

biología, principio básico de la mayoría de pruebas de laboratorio clínico y de investigación, además

de ser piedra angular del desarrollo tecnológico farmacéutico y de investigación. Por el desarrollo en

inmunología, contamos ahora con agentes biológicos de utilidad en enfermedades autoinmunes,

alérgicas y oncológicas y técnicas de diagnóstico y terapias muy precisas debido a la especificidad

de los anticuerpos monoclonales, así como la interferencia específica sobre moléculas claves

intracelulares. A futuro se perfila, inclusive, mayor desarrollo tecnológico. En esta reunión futurista se

darán cita investigadores de renombre internacional, autores de libros, premios Nobel y profesionales

de diversas áreas de la ciencia. Todo esto en el marco de la maravillosa Ciudad de los Reyes, Lima,

capital del Perú, país famoso, tanto por su hospitalidad como por sus múltiples atractivos históricos,

turísticos y gastronómicos que aunados al conocimiento científico, permitirán que esta jornada sea

un despliegue de ciencia y solidaridad.

Nobel, ha sido reconocido con el premio Albert

Lasker Medical Research Award en 1995, y el

Cancer Research Institute William B. Coley Award

en 1987.

Es cirujano veterinario australiano

e investigador en el campo de la

medicina. El recibió el Albert

Lasker Awards for Basic Medical

Research en 1995 y el Premio

Nobel de Medicina y Fisiología,

juntamente con Rolf Martin

Zinkernagel en 1996. Fue

nominado australiano del año en 1997; además fue

nominado Companion of the Order of Australia por

su trabajo con Zinkernagel.
