Zagreb es la capital y la ciudad ms grande de Croacia. Con el rea metropolitana, supera el milln de habitantes.. Tiene su origen en dos pueblos sobre colinas contiguas, ambos rodeados de fortalezas y murallas, llamados Kaptol y Gradec. En 1880 un terremoto propici la reconstruccin, unin y modernizacin de la actual Zagreb. Zagreb is the capital and largest city of Croatia. With the metropolitan area, has over a million people . It originates in two villages on the hills adjacent, both surrounded by fortresses and walls, called Kaptol and Gradec. In 1880 an earthquake led to the reconstruction and modernization of the junction current Zagreb.

La catedral de Zagreb se remonta al ao 1094, de estilo romnico y gtico. Ya en 1242 fue arrasada por los trtaros; en 1263 fue reconstruida por el obispo Timotej en estilo gtico, en el siglo XVI fue fortificada con murallas y torres y, al final, en el siglo XVII fue levantada una enorme torre renacentista. En 1880 sucedi un gran terremoto qu caus daos graves a la catedral as que despus de se la catedral fue reconstruida en estilo neogtico con dos torres que hoy son el smbolo de este imponente edificio.

Zagreb Cathedral dates back to 1094, Romanesque and Gothic. Already in 1242 it was destroyed by the Tartars and in 1263 was rebuilt by Bishop Timotej in Gothic style; in the sixteenth century was fortified with walls and towers, and finally, in the seventeenth century was built a huge tower Renaissance. In 1880 came a great earthquake which caused serious damage to the cathedral so after that, the cathedral was rebuilt in the Gothic style with two towers that are now the symbol of this imposing building.

La torre Lotrak, de mediados del siglo XIII. Desde la cima de la torre el can de Gri dispara un caonazo cada da a las 12 en punto del medioda. Ofrece unas maravillosas vistas de la ciudad .

Lotrak tower, mid-thirteenth century. From the top of the tower, Gri cannon fires a gun every day at 12 o'clock noon. It offers wonderful views of the town.
