Attendance at SchoolStudent attendance at school is very important.Every day and every lesson is important to yourchild‘s education. Please ensure your child is ontime and at school every day. Please notify the classteacher or the school if your child is going to be

‘Happiness is a Dry Bed’

Bedwetting is a common child hood problem thatcan be usually stopped.

Nocturnal Enuresis is the medical term used todescribe lack of bladder control at night in a personwho has reached an age at which control is to beexpected.

Bedwetting can cause stress for both children andparents. It is recommended to seek treatment

rather than thinking they will grow out of it as somenever do.

School Community nurses offer the Enuresis(Bedwetting) Program as recommended by PMH forchildren and young people from 6 years of age to 14years. This involves the use of a mat and alarm tohelp the person to wake when needing to go to thetoilet at night. The treatment is most likely to besuccessful if it is part of a supervised self - management program using reliable machines. Theprogram takes between 6 -8 weeks and involvesweekly contact with the School Community Nurse. There is no cost.

Is your child:

Wetting the bed more than twice per week

Dry during the day

between 6 and 14 years of age

motivated and wants to be dry at night.

For further details please contact your SchoolCommunity Nurse 98427564 or Great SouthernPopulation Health on 9842 7500
