Una bala disparada por un niño que te ama, te mata. La droga del médico que te odia, te cura. Es la palabra lo que me hizo vivir. ¿Es mentira la droga? (El sol alumbra para buenos y malos).
Aquel filósofo que, para probar la honestidad de su doctrina, citó a Mucio Scévola, cuando, testimoniándose,
sobrepuso la mano en una llama.
"¡Imposible!", clamaron los discípulos de Nietzsche, y éste, serenamente, colocó una brasa en su palma. El silencio palideció.
(Y si hubiera anestesiado su mano, ¿qué diríais?)
Yo sé: Venimos de la Palabra: nuestro destino es regresar. El canto creó al pájaro y no el pájaro al canto. Entre las yemas recién húmedas del secretísimo rododendro, un ruiseñor está volviendo a ser canto, todo canto y solamente canto.
Veo caer al pájaro fulminado por su canción: corteza vana, luna transitoria, cáscara de su propia luz, envoltura que tú, gusano, puedes roer sin que yo te lo impida.
