functions-Provides well control if they are abnormal pressure zones.-Isolates problem-formations, shales slippery, salty waterflows or formations that contaminate the drilling fluid.-Allows lower-density drilling mud to normal pressure

zones that are under pressurized areas.

Is the string of casing through which complete the wellproduces and controls throughout its life and which canperform many repairs and completions. This casing is

placed to cover the pay zone and provides a boost to theproduction tubing ("tubing") during the well productionoperations.features:-Isolate the formations or deposits to produce selectively.

-Avoid fluid migration between zones.-To serve as insulation to the control equipment (head) tobe installed to manage well production.

Camisa o Liner Intermedia o

Protectora: The protective sleeves or intermediates are strings that do

not extend to the surface and hung from the previouscasing string.features:The purpose of this string is to prevent lost circulation

problems when require high mud weights. It provides thesame protection as the intermediate casing.

This type of pipe is placed in the inner sectionof production casing.Its main use is made in exploratory wellsbecause they can test the zones of interestwithout the expense of a full string. Then ifthere is commercial production of oil, you canconnect the string to surface.

Tie back

Production liners are usually connected to surface (wellhead)

using a casing string "tie back" when the well is completed. Thisstring is connected to the top of the liner with a specialconnector.The tie back casing insulation used can not withstand thepressure loads if possible continuous drilling, providing pressureintegrity from the top of the liner at the wellhead.
