Ingls U1 Tema 1: Hello! / Hola!

Welcome to my World: Hello!/Hola!

Bienvenid@ a este nuevo curso de ingls en el que seguro que vas a aprender muchsimoy te vas a hacer un experto. Como tenemos que empezar poco a poco, en este tema tevamos a ensear algo imprescindible...saludar y presentarnos!.

A lo mejor piensas que esto no te va servir de nada, pero no te desanimes que seguroque alguna vez te has encontrado en una situacin en la que te hubiese gustado deciralgo ms que hello...como, por ejemplo, hablar del tiempo, saber decir algn nmero,etc.

Tranquilo, que al final del tema ya sabrs decir los dedos de las manosque tienes y loque necesitas comprar (el, la, los, las, un, uno, una)... Nunca sabes cundo puedesnecesitar toda esta informacin.

Anmate, entra y psalo en grande aprendiendo ingls con nuestra amiga Mara, quetampoco crea que fuera importante este idioma hasta que se fue a Londres con una becade baile.

Hola! Ves a la chica de la foto? Se llama Mara y hasta hace muy poco no saba nadade ingls (ni siquiera le interesaba), pero hace unos meses le dieron una beca de baile enLondres....y all hablan ingls.

Ni corta ni perezosa Mara se fue a Londres.... anmate, vamos a conocer su historia!

stas fueron las preguntas que le hicieron a Mara el primer da que fue a clase enLondres:

- Hello! What is your name?

- My name is Mara.

- How are you?

Fjate en el dilogo. Ves las preguntas en negrita? Son preguntas que nos sirven parapresentarnos y conocer la informacin bsica sobre una persona.

Te has fijado que el signo de interrogacin slo se pone al final? No te preocupes si nolo entiendes todo, iremos aprendiendo todas las palabras que salen en este dilogo a lolargo del tema, vers qu fcil!

Ahora vamos a ver lo que significan las preguntas:

What is your name? Cmo te llamas?

How are you? Cmo ests?

How old are you? Cuntos aos tienes?

Where are you from? De dnde eres?

What do you do? En qu trabajas?

Fjate!En ingls preguntamos la edad y la decimos con el verbo ser y nunca con el

verbo tener, a diferencia del espaol.

2.- What is your name?/Cmo te llamas?

Aqu tenemos de nuevo el dilogo de presentacin.

Fjate en las palabras en negrita ahora, son diferentes.

Si prestas atencin vers que son palabras que se utilizan en las preguntas del dilogo.Son palabras que sirven para preguntar. Adems casi todas empiezan igual "wh-".

Como ya conoces esas preguntas, quieres saber ahora lo que significan exactamentelas palabras en negrita?Te atreves a echarles un vistazo en ingls? All vamos!

3.- He or she?/l o ella?

De nuevo tenemos a nuestra amiga Mara y su dilogo del primer da. Vamos a aprenderalgo nuevo. Fjate ahora en otras palabras que estn en negrita:

Hello! What is your name?

- Where are you from?

- I am from Spain.

- What do youdo?

- Iam a dancer, a flamenco dancer.

En el dilogo de presentacin de Mara en clase estaban hablando dos personas, una lepreguntaba a la otra "T, cmo te llamas?, T, cuntos aos tienes?"...Mara responda

"yo me llamo, yo tengo, yo soy..." por eso en el dilogo encuentras en negrita laspalabras I (yo) y you (t).

Son palabras que sirven para hablar de las personas sin decir sus nombres. Por ejemplo,si hablamos de Luis, podemos decir Luis come o podemos decir l come (l se refiere aLuis).

Existen ms palabras de este tipo. Dos compaeros de Mara al verla hablaron entreellos. Fjate:

- Who is she?

- I dont know, but I know sheis from Spain.

- Oh! Maybe shecan dance flamenco, we can learn!

En este dilogo los compaeros de Mara hablaban de ella (she) y de nosotros (we).

Aqu tienes todas las palabras que necesitas para hablar de otras personas, pero no teasustes que son slo 8 (y una de ellas est repetida, as que es cmo si fueran slo 7)

Aqu tienes un dilogo.....seguro que te suena......S, es el dilogo del primer da de clasede Mara. Con l hemos aprendido a hacer algunas preguntas para presentarnos y hemosvisto cmo se responden.

Pero hay palabras que no conocemos todava,no te agobies!, vamos a verlas ahora.Fjate de nuevo en las palabras que estn en negrita ahora:

Mira las fotos, no importa que sepas o no el significado de las palabras. Qu tiempo tesugieren? Qu estacin del ao podra ser? Si quieres ver si has acertado pincha lassoluciones de la actividad de lectura. Seguro que has acertado!

An apple significa "una manzana", a bottle "una botella" y the biscuits " lasgalletas".

Lo habas acertado?

En ingls slo tienen tres palabras (a,an,the) para lo que nosotros tenemos seis (el, la,los, las, un, una). Si es que somos complicados!

Adivinas por qu utilizamos aunas veces y anotras, si significan lo mismo?

Es muy sencillo, fjate en qu empieza la palabra que le sigue: an apple, an orange,a strawberry, a fish.

Lo tienes ya? Eso es! depende de como empiece la siguiente palabra:

Si comienza por vocalse utiliza an

The lo usamos para especificar algo concreto, por ejemplo "the biscuits for Anne",

las galletas para Anne. No son unas galletas cualquiera, sino unas en especial quecompra Anne o que le gustan.

Bueno, pues ya hemos superado el tema 1, qu tal ha ido? Suponemos que bien cuando

vuelves a visitarnos, enhorabuena!. Continua con esa motivacin que, al final,conseguirs aprender el ingls necesario para comunicarte, como le ha ocurrido a Mara.

En este nuevo tema, la cosa se pone ms interesante pues si echas un vistazo ytrabajamos un poco juntos cuando lo termines sers capaz de decirle a alguien cmoeres en ingls, tanto fsicamente como tu personalidad, no es increble?!! Para ellonecesitars aprender los colores. Por supuesto, vers el resto de los nmeros; no nosbamos a quedar en 20 o eso creas?

Tambin vas a aprender como se dice mi, tu, su, por si te encuentras en una situacin enla que tengas que decir que algo te pertenece... como tu madre, padre, familia engeneral.

Fjate en que cuando la persona que hace la accin es l o ella (he/ she) se leaade una -s a la accin:

Contables e incontables

Acabas de aprender un montn de nombres de comida en ingls, as que a partir deahora si viajas a Inglaterra seguramente pasars fro, pero no hambre!!!!

Cuando hablamos de comida sobretodo, en ingls debemos tener en cuenta sihablamos de cosas contables o incontables. Por ejemplo: an apple, una manzana escontable, puedes contar una, dos, tres manzanas...

Sin embargo cuando comemos queso, comemos una porcin de queso (no uno, dos otres quesos enteros....no quiero ni pensar cmo tendramos el colesterol).

Lo mismo sucede con las bebidas, no se puede contar un agua, dos aguas....podemoscontar los vasos o las botellas de agua pero no el agua en s misma. Estas sonconocidas como palabras incontables.

Por eso cuando en ingls decimos que queremos agua o o queso debemos ponerdelante la palabra some (algo de, un poco de), porque no se puede contar.

Tambin en muy importante recordar que al ser incontables, es decir, al no podersecontar, elverboprincipal vasiempre en singular (como si fuera tercera persona delsingular): The cheese isin the fridge (el queso est en el frigorfico)
